Tygra can hold his own for sure. He should’ve done so in “New Alliances” when he was captured.
No it was Panthro, Cheetara, Kit and Kat, Tygra, then Mumm-Ra.

Yes and some goofs are more easier to spot thanks to DVD’s. 
Except the mountain can’t get them to the moon, which is where the book was pointing to.
And how did the stone get to the moon after the pyramid crashed? How would the Tcats get to the moon now?
I don’t think that theory is very credible with their current level of technology.
What? Where did you come up with the stone being on the moon? 
How did the mutants pop up behind the Thundercats on that mountain. How did Tygra survive that beating without so much as some ruffled fur. And how did he magically produce a pistol after being freed just seconds earlier. After those glaring holes in last weeks ep I would not put anything past them right now so they could move the story forward in 22 min.
Personally I like the idea of it being on the moon. And for getting there the other Thundercats are presumably going to have to goto the pyramid to get the sword so why not steal a feliner to escape and then whalla Space travel available. Then again they could have to get the sword from castle Plundar. Oooohhhhhhhh… of course this is all speculation. The Berbils could also build them a Space ship. Or… well use your imagination, the writers are. Funnier yet it could have been intergrated in the Thundertank by the Berbils and it was just above their heads the whole time. 
Yeah I’ll have to look at that episode again because the moon sounds pretty farfetched.
Personally I think the idea some people had of a floating Tiger city might be right. Afterall the book said up, and we know that the next episode after the trials, Native Son, deals with the lost Tiger clan.

After “Trials of Lion-O” Part 2, we actually get to see an episode about Tygra.
A floating Tiger City huh. I guess Tygra really had a fall from grace then.

I’m theorising that the tigers refused to be ruled by the lions because of “the pride of tigers”, and went off to form their own little clan/settlement far from thunderra not to be seen again (hence the ‘lost’ tiger clan bit).
Tygra was probably stolen/lost as a cub and found by Claudus or one of his guard and adopted. good intro point for Bengali (or at least a cameo!)
This is an interesting take on the original Lion-O’s five anointment trials: The new Lion-O has to successfully complete them in the afterlife so he can return to the land of the living. In the “Hero’s Journey” model this is the Death and Rebirth of the Hero, so the show’s right on schedule with this part, though it’s something any one of the other Cats can go through as well.
I’m not surprised Lion-O’s still angry at Tygra and Cheetara, he just has to work it through and accept that they are now a couple. The updated trails of cunning and speed were well thought out, so it’ll be interesting to see how the trials of mind power and strength take form. When Lion-O first fell out of the sky, I thought he was going to revisit the Pedalar Forest and Emrick, but it was to race against Cheetara for the key at the center of the maze. As for how he got onto the bird’s back, it probably just flew by low enough for him to jump on. Since Lion-O will also have to rescue the other Cats from Mumm-Ra, that will be the fifth and last trial – Lion-O facing his greatest enemy, like the first one did in the OS.
I must admit Tygra’s a pretty good leader when he isn’t in Lion-O’s shadow. Clever of him to let Addicus and Kaynar pummel him to buy time for Kat and Kit to pick the lock on Tygra’s handcuffs, though the drawback there is that we didn’t see how the Kittens got out of their own cuffs before freeing him. Another negative is that Panthro could have used his new Mr. Fantastic ability to grab the Sword of Omens out of Slythe’s hand. But I guess the writers wanted Tygra to lead the charge to Mumm-Ra’s pyramid to get the Sword back, leading to their capture by Mumm-Ra and subsequent rescue by Lion-O.

“Trials of Lion-O” Part 1 was okay, but I liked it. Now let’s see if part two will go us one better.
Makes me think that the native son is Bengali, not Tygra. They were brothers in the UK comics…
save the best for last, right? We all know Tygra and Lion-O have a rough relationship. It’s probably going to go there.
