Kaynar is insane. I love it. 
So far so good. I like what they are doing with Addicus and Kaynar, making them violent vicious and crazy. Although getting used to Addicus’s voice will take sometime. It reminds me of the episode of family guy where they talk about “wrong sounding muppets”. But im sure it will grow on me eventually.
Love Addicus actually using his feet as hands like a real monkey.
Dang Lion-O would’ve just let them Kill Tygra? poor form Lion-O, poor form.

not sure how i feel about the new thundertank. I really was digging the first one but this addition seems a little much.
Overall I liked the episode. Not great, but entertaining enough.
Seeing the old mutants together again was great and I like how violent the new generals are. I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to hearing that voice coming out of Monkian, though. I like that Mumm-Ra’s new team is already showing themselves to be a major threat.
Panthro’s arms aren’t quite what I expected after seeing the figure, I really like the black arms more than the silver ones on the toy. I do not like the Fantastic Four-esque arm stretching, though. Really lame.
Also, what did they do to the Thundertank!? Ugh, just awful.
not a big fan of the new addition to the thundertank. it seems a bit much. Nor am i a fan of the go go gadget arms there of Panthro. They looked and seemed cool…until that.
hopefully the extra bulk on the tank is detachable. I can’t imagine them continuing to go through wooded areas in that thing. And agree about the stretchy arms. I’d have preferred lasers or cannons or something.
I thought they were going to give Panthro super strength with the new arms, which would fall in line with the character. Not sure why someone thought it was a good idea to give him the ridiculous stretchy arms. :rolleyes:
The change to the Thundertank is really bothering me. Why did they feel the need to change it? The tank wasn’t really used all that much in the first run of episodes so it’s not like it needed something to keep it interesting. Change for the sake of change, I guess.

liked the addition of monkian and jacklaman…although i dont know why they changed the names…
not to thrilled bout the thundertank addition…it kinda looks too bulky and fat

still it kinda felt rushed overall…not enough substance in this episode in my opinion…introducing new characters, new thundertank, new relationships, it just kinda jumped back and forth…and the battle at the end sucked…
yeah this seemed more like a build up episode. It really wasn’t much of a stand alone. But that’s fine to me. Before the show even started they had promised a more continuous narrative like a long movie. Kinda like how anime usually is.
It looks like it’ll be a detachable Thundertank. I can’t wait until that new thing shows off its goodies.
Overall, I really liked this episode. It felt like it could have been a story in the classic series, but amped up enough to make it more mature.
Monkian & Jackalman, or Addicus & Kaynar, were great. Monkian’s voice was a little bland, but other than that, the series just found itself two great new villains. Monkian being a total barbarian & Jackalman being totally insane (seriously, he reminded me of The Joker…Jokalman?) was awesome, and something I didn’t expect.
Them being able to hang with The Cats was a nice surprise too. After watching them get their tails kicked day in and day out in the classic series, it was kind of shocking to see them pretty much dominate the Thundercats. Even Slythe held his own against Lion-O and the Sword of Omens! Wow!
We basically had three stories that all came to a head at the end. The Cheetara/Tygra/Lion-O love triangle created some tension among the T-Cats that was actually interesting. Lion-O was willing to sacrifice Tygra to fight The Mutants? Cheetara disobeyed orders? It’ll be interesting to see how this is all resolved. I also liked Lion-O basically calling out Cheetara on all her flirting earlier on in the series. I’d be saying the same thing. “Look, you came up behind me and seductively talked about how to use my Sword! How was I supposed to take that?!?!”.
The C Story was The Berbils giving Panthro his new arms which led to a nice series of gags. Not sure how I feel about the Stretchy Arms, but I want to see him really get into a fist fight with those babies. It was very cool to see Panthro roll out and save the day again.
Overall, a very fun opener to Seaosn 2 and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
i couldn’t have said it better my self. this episode to me is a 10/10 because the way the main and the subplots blended so well. i am really excited for more episodes this season and i also have to mention that i really liked how the writers handled the outcome of the love triangle especially liono’s attitude. if this is what it takes to light a fire in liono to make him more bad-ass, then by all means throw more obstacles at him. overall i was impressed and i just hope the writers keep up this quality of writing.
I thought the writing during that scene was a little odd. Cheetara said something like “I have to side with him.” when she laid down her staff. Why would she say it like that? It would have made more sense for her to say something like “What am I supposed to do Lion-O? Let them kill Tygra?” The way it was written in the show just came off as Cheetara siding with Tygra because of the love triangle instead of just surrendering because it was the right thing to do when one of your own has an axe to his head.
you are right, it did come off as a bit odd. i am really curious to see how the three of them resolve this mess. it might also be that she was angry at him for putting his teammates lives in danger IDK…lol.
Ok… Interesting episode. I was a bit took back at first when Lion-O said he was ok with the new happy couple. But then they played it out as we thought. kind of a wasted scene if you ask me. I am on the edge with the flexo Arms. I agree with Balgus in that cannon or lasers would have been a better fit. I envisioned something like Cyborg from Teen Titans. I did enjoy seeing more from Cheetaras new Staff. The forest element works well for her. I will say that in the end Lion-O thinks he failed against the “New Generals” but he did succeed in his mission of freeing the deserters which should pay of in the future. I think they Introduced Monkian and Jackleman in to much of a strong light. They are Psychos. Psychos hold allegiance to no one but themselves. Jacklemans reason for staying is to get Cats… Fair enough for now. But Monkians only reason to stay was they saved his life. Thanks for that but now I am free whats in it for me? I am sure this will play out later as dissension in the ranks which is usually the undoing of any powerful force. Kind of as it was in this episode with Cheetara and Lion-O. Personally I think Lion-O had the right Idea but he was way to open and brash about it. This also brings to light the problem with couples in a battlefield situation. They are really going to have to lock that down or it will be a big problem.
ok well heres my take, the voice acting on the newest mutants is horrible
the panthro arms is goofy and i was thinking go gadget arms when they started going all over the place. the story for the most part was bland to me, except for the triangle which seemd like it was interesting to see where it would take us cause it looks to me as though problems will arise.
all in all this is probably the best of the series so far even though its to me an average episode. i give it a 5 only cause of the situation involving the three

Neither of them should be ready to sacrifice another Cat, no matter the relationship.
I am just saying it would be easier for her to see the truth in the situation. But with love goggles on she cant see the whole picture and weigh the ultimate outcome.
In the fantasy world where they live yes she made the right choice. From a real world perspective, especially with Jackleman being such a psycho, I am sorry but he is a hostage giving up only means now you have two hostages which really means one can die with no issue. Never give in to a bad guy the only thing you can ultimately trust them to do is not keep their word.
Great episode, “Monkian” and “Jackelman” were done a lot better then I thought. Also Kaynar had some great lines as well.
Well at least we know now that the hoverboards were made by the Berbils.
Maybe we will see them bring in armies of Monky/Apes and Jackels/Dogs as well.
Not to mention that there will be absolutely no mercy for Lion-O because he is the king and thus a symbol as long as he’s alive she’s still sacrificing Lion-O for Tygra. Lion-O says earlier that he can’t understand how he misread her, that’s because he didn’t. It may not have been her intention but she STILL deceived him. The show seems to make it clear that it was not his trust in Tygra that was broken, but Cheetarah.
