I would say species, but Tigers, Lions, and Cheetahs are not the same species. Bro, its a bunch of cats what do I say?
On a different subject, I was thinking about how Kaynar and Addicus are supposed to build up armies of their own people. It has been pointed out that they are both considered dangerous criminals, but let’s think for a moment. Addicus is an enemy of the birds; it could very well be that the monkies and birds have a rivalry much like the cats and lizards (which would make interactions with Vulterman interesting).
For Kaynar, it may be possible that the dog races are a lot more divided; Kaynar could have been captured by a rival pack. They were bulldogs after all, not Jackals. The Jackals in particular could be a very vicious society.
Dogs operate in packs, and all Kaynar may need to do is stage a coup to get rid of whatever alpha dog is in charge to take over. Some goes for Addicus. It’s not uncommon for for powerful figures to take control of a people, whether they are right or wrong. With Mumm-Ra’s technology at their disposal, they could easily accomplish this and promise to lead their followers to riches and glory, as well as take revenge on their enemies, like the cats and birds.

That all sounds good to me, but we should not drag all monkeys and Jackals under the same line. Just cause one of them is bad, does that mean ALL of them are?

Oh? :o I thought you got mad. Well i’m not sure, i’ll do a quick wikipedia reading… DONE and this is the thing i found:
“In biology, races are distinct genetically divergent populations within the same species with relatively small morphological and genetic differences.”
I also found this: “A species is often defined as a group of organisms capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring.”
It that more like saying a Bengal tiger and and Siberian are the same race, or is that more like saying a Bengal and African Lion are the same race? After all, the lion and the tiger cannot produce FERTILE offspring, and so they are not the same species. To add to the confusion race and ethnicity are used so interchangeably, that it’s hard to make sure I’m getting my point across.
Are tigers a different ethnic group, or a completely different race? Ethnicity includes culture and language, while race is the way a group of people look.It’s easier applied to humans, but how is it applied to Thundearians?
I was thinking along the lines of human race= Cat race. I still don’t know what I’m talking about. 
I like how Lion-O is so openminded to the lizards in “New Alliances” like he was in the series premiere. His goal other than finding the lost Stones of Power is to unite all the animals against Mumm-Ra. 
Yeah that really gave Lion-O the impression that she wouldn’t have been talking to him otherwise.

There are a number of examples where bird aliens have arms and wings. T’Char an Aurelian from Star Trek: The Animated Series is one off the top of my head.

I finally saw this episode! And there were pros and cons about it. Let’s start with the pros:

I very much enjoyed seeing Kat and Kit get their hover-boards at last. And I enjoyed Kat’s remark, “How did I ever live without a hover-board?” I’m pretty sure Kit feels the same way!

Lion-O’s entrance was cool.

Panthro’s malfunctioning arms were hilarious. I only wish the writers had given him funnier dialogue.

Kaynar and Addicus are perfectly brutal bad guys, with Kaynar given the right touch of psychotic evil.

The animation in the battle sequences between the Cats and the Mutant generals was epic!

And that new-and-improved ThunderTank is one bad customer!
Now for the cons:

Instead of just standing there trembling, the Bird People should have tried to escape the second Addicus wanted to feast on them. The Lizards could then have shot down any of them and Addicus would have gotten his meal that way.

I wasn’t all that bothered by Cheetara saying, “It’s because…Jaga asked me to look after you.” But Lion-O should have asked why. She could have said something like, “He knew your talent for getting into trouble, so he had me keep an eye on you. I’m sorry if you misinterpreted my motives.”

Lion-O decides to take on Slythe, Kaynar, and Addicus by himself. Yeah, like Cheetara and Tygra were going to simply let him do that. Very predictable.

Then comes the scene where Cheetara lays down her staff. “Cheetara, what are you doing?” Lion-O demands. “We’re supposed to stick together!” To which she points to Tygra and says, “I have to stick with him.” I’m sorry, but that’s too unlike Cheetara to be believeable. It makes me think the writer had boxed himself in plotwise and had to come up with something in a hurry to get himself out.

I’m not thrilled with Panthro’s new Mr. Fantastic-style arms. They’re too much of a “get-out-of-jail-free” card" for the Cats, as shown in this episode.
All in all, this was not the best story in the series. Hopefully, there will be more that are better. But what’s bothering me at the moment is that, like Mumm-Ra and Slythe, Addicus and Kaynar will be made into lesser threats that the Cats can all too easily defeat in the next clash.
I just wanted to say, that Lion-O did not really jump on all of them alone. He went for Slithe but the 2 other generals jumped in and i think Lion-O was pretty smart in that way “i can’t escape from this” as he did stay put and probably could not have escaped anyway. I dont understand how all this is a bad thing. He never knew about Kaynar and Addicus, cause of this he never tried to take them all on at once
You’re right about Lion-O not knowing about Addicus and Kaynar until he saw them. But I think he could have escaped, as Slythe, Kaynar and Addicus probably weren’t that much faster than Lion-O. And Lion-O’s pride was a deciding factor in his staying put.
No faster? I really think the Monkeyman would out run/jump in anyday. Lion-O just runs like anyone of us by the looks of it.
I like the fact that there hard to beat.
