ThunderCats DS Video Game Giveaway #1!

The folks at Namco Bandai have been generous enough to send over a few ThunderCats DS games to give out to our forum members (you must join our forums and have an established account). In order to win one of three copies of the game here are the requirements for the first of the giveaways:

View the official trailer for the game right above on this post, once you watch it the only requirement for it is to post on the forums what you liked about the game the most (from watching the clip), or it could even be anything in general you liked about the clip itself. We’ll do a random drawing for this one. It’s that simple!

Entry submissions will close on January 31st 2013, 12am ET, 9pm PT, 5am UK time and 6am European time (now extended from original closing date!) The competition is open to anyone worldwide!

The fact that it is a side scroller reminds me of the games of my childhood.

I like the fact all the main characters are in the game, and its true to the cartoon and the series plot.

ThunderCats for DS

Hmmm, this trailer had very little actual gameplay footage. There’s more cartoon than video game in there. On the bright side, it made me want to go watch all the 2011TC episodes again… ^_~

It looks like a very simple side-scrolling platformer. Several elements here, like the slide/dash/dodge toward Mumm-Ra and the time-freeze ‘special attack’ allies, are very reminiscent of the first Mega-Man games from Nintendo’s early years. And that’s not a bad thing - I liked those pioneering adventures with the Blue Bomber…

I’m forced to wonder what happens on the OTHER screen on the DS, not shown in the trailer. Anybody know?..

In any case, if the level design has enough variety it looks like it could be pretty fun. Toss my name in the hat to win a free copy. :slight_smile:

Summoning the other ThunderCats looks like a great gameplay feature. I’ve wanted that in a ThunderCats game for many years! :liono

I like the game cause it’s simple side-scrolling action at it’s finest! Reminds me of the games i played when i was young :frowning: I WANT THAT TIME BACK!

I’m getting mind blank from thinking how awesome this is!!! So so happy. It’s what I’ve wanted since release of the original series, a game.

Roll on next gen consoles please!!! Ps.. And please have unlockable original playable characters!!

I’m a sucker for side scrollers and Thundercats. I’d play it.

But I have to agree with LordRaidor. The ratio of video game footage to cartoon animation in this trailer does not give credence to the quality of this game…

Here is an unboxking and more gameplay footage. What i hate is that.. When the gameplay starts you have the sword of omens when you should not be having it.. Oh well hopefully it plays good!

I imagine doing the “Thundercats, HO!” move would be way more fun than it has any right to be.
