Just thought you’d like to know that there will be a HUGE article about the UK ThunderCats comic in the next issue of Cereal:Geek magazine, complete with (hopefully) a couple of plugs for this site and a couple of examples from our ThunderCats Original Comic Art Gallery. I know, because I’m the one who put it all together!
Just thought you’d like to know given that, even though I’m really busy in my “offline” life, I’m still looking to plug the site whenever I can and when James contacted me asking for an article about the UK TCats comic for Cereal:Geek, it seemed like an excellent opportunity!
Do you know, I didn’t think to ask James if I could do that or not - I must be losing my touch!
He might want to keep it exclusive to the magazine, or might let me add it at a later date (once the magazine has been published for a while) - if I remember, I’ll ask him!
I remember you did an Animation Art article for Cereal:Geek, Mark - did he say anything about whether or not it was OK to reproduce it on this site?
I would say that a lot of the info contained in there is just reworded (and slightly more detailed) material that has already been published to this site - the juiciest stuff present is excerpts from the interviews I did with some of the UK comic artists, which we have here on the site! The article does, of course, mention that the quotes come from interviews they did with ThunderCats Lair!
As hard as my busy “offline” life will let me, anyway! I haven’t given up on adding some new material to the site when I get chance, but in the meanwhile just wanted you guys to know that I remain a committed member of the ThunderCats Lair team and want to keep doing what I can, when I can!
Thanks Mark! I don’t have a scan of the article and to be honest it would be a bit awkward to fit it into my scanner - what I think I might do is ask James if I could use a piece of the illustration that he used in the magazine to go with the article as the image to accompany the news story!
Thanks for letting me do this - I’m really proud of the article I’ve written and it’s fantastic to see it in print! (And, you’ll be pleased to know it plugs this site right at the top of the article!)
