Dang. :unsure I guess I’m out. Thirty five bucks is pretty much my ceiling, and that doesn’t even include shipping. I’m sure the figures will look great, but I just can’t swing that. I wish there was a Po’ Boy option, where you could buy a figure with with just 1 accessory, 1 head, no extra hands, and it could be bagged, not carded. I would be totally fine with that.

After I think about it, I can’t really be too bummed. I still get to have a total blast with MOTU Origins. For the price of 1 Ultimates T-Cat I can buy 2 Origins figures, and still have some money left over for a few Mega Construx figures!! That’s not exactly terrible!

I guess I am pretty much going to have to pass on this new line as well. At present I just can’t really justify the price of the figures. With postage and customs it’s still going to cost around £200 and the UK sellers are going to be offering them for £50 each so the four will still work out at around £200 and I just cant justify that for 4x 6/7" action figures.
Like I said I might change my mind on the figures but fr all those collecting them I hope they are awesome and the line goes produces lots of figures.
Maybe if Super 7 can do some cheaper vintage style figures I might get some of them.

I’m still hoping that S7 surprises us with some ‘Savage World’ styled Cats for maybe 20/25 bucks a pop. That’s probably not going to happen, but it’s fun to think about.

They will no doubt do ReAction figures, but those aren’t my cup of tea. :unsure

You never know. I am quite excited about Origins and the WWE MOTU figures. Those look really fun. I suppose with a bit of paint and some of those Funko figures they quite be quite easily customised.

So the next batch of releases (of 4 figs) are Jan, April, July and October! That is 5 confirmed waves including the current preorder. So 16 more figures confirmed…

There was for a few minutes by somebody on IG but ToyHypeUSA shared a full report afterwards on their website. The IG live video was stopped halfway through as they’re not allowed to film.

In addition to Sebastiaan’s comment, here’s a rundown from Toyhypeusa.com…

ThunderCats Schedule – Wave 2 – January 2020, April 2020 wave 3, July 2020 wave 4, October 2020 wave 5. An additional 16 figures are planned beyond the 16 planned figures.

No plans for ThunderCats playsets (yet). It sounds as though they need to finish Snake Mountain before talking about more items.

ThunderCats packaging will be shown next month.

ThunderCats Classics figures will be released before Super7offers ReAction and other lines.

Pricing could change, such as $35 to $45 for Ultimate/Classic figures. This is because of more accessories being offered. The tariff increases may see a price increase.

Silverhawks is a brand that Super7is asked about the most. MOTU is more popular in Mexico than in the US. If Silverhawks figures are going to be made, it will likely happen after ThunderCats.

It all sounds good, but I think a lot will hinge on the sales of the 4 reissue figures. Too bad there was no concept art or anything shown. Does this mean Super7 does not own the Jaga & Grune figures? Are those still at Mattel?

Is the Sword of Omens removable from the claw Shield?
Is there a better system to place the claw Shield on lionoa leg than that Peg Mattel used?
Can they reveal a list of characters from the 16 in the works?
