Hi Sonia, great to hear from you - I really hope you’ll buy the book. If it helps, there is a really big music chapter (far bigger than the Bernie Hoffer profile I wrote a few years ago). It includes interviews with the orchestra, editors, vocalists and, of course, more from Bernie.

P.S. for Shredder: Yeah, that would be nice too! Amazon is offering a CD-burn-on-demand option for a few soundtracks now (like the musical Batman: The Brave and the Bold musical episode which is offered on Amazon via download or CD-burn-on-demand), which is similar to their DVD-burn-on-demand service for several Nickelodeon shows. Having an option like that via Amazon is also another possibility without putting too much of a production burden on any company!
I’ll buy a copy when that comes out!

Hi, just a quick final reminder for anyone who wants to make any suggestions for my Thundercats book to please step forward. The first draft manuscript will be completed in just over a month, so if there is anything your simply HAVE to see in the book, please post it here.
As mentioned previously, the book will be HUGE and bursting with content, so I’m confident you’ll find out everything you ever wanted to know about the show. However, all suggestions welcome since you’ve all waited for 25 years for this book!

Hi Thunderfan, I’ve no idea about the price yet as it will be set closer to release by the publisher. However, I’m confident it will be great value for money as it won’t be a ‘light’ read.
The publisher’s usual titles range between £12-£18 ($18-$27)

Late response, I know, but I’ve been following this topic for awhile. VERY excited about the book. Do you know if it’ll be available in comic stores? I work in one, and I bet we could sell a BUNCH of these!
Hi Jimmy, great to hear from you! I do indeed hope you’ll get hold of these in your store. My publisher does have mainstream distribution in the UK, US & North America and Australia. However, in reality, the big book stores are very discriminatory about what they stock in this genre. They may well bypass the book (but then again the new series may make it a far more attractive concept - so who knows)?
Either way, big comic stores are stocked directly by the publisher (like a chain called Forbidden Planet in the UK). Plus, anyone can walk into any book store and order it in within a couple of days even if the store don’t want to stock it.
I’ll try to get this into as many specialist comic and collectibles stores though and hopefully things like comic cons etc.

I’m very interested in learning how the Cats developed from the initial idea to the finished forms seen in the cartoon.
Since it’s an unofficial guide, I take it you can’t include any ThunderCats artwork, or can you?
I would’ve loved to see early Thundercats design art (like the ones shown in the ‘ThunderCats Ho!’ documentary on the season one DVD).

Are you looking for images of anything? The pictures I have posted before were just taken as-is, no care about the background and lighting. I can take new shots of anything you want.
David, you should ask the ThunderCats retailers (Icon Heroes and Hard Hero) if they will put some copies next to their statues at Comic Con
I’d like a copy of the book too! I also noted that it’s timed to come out in 2011, the same year of the new ThunderCats cartoon show. Hopefully that will be in the book as well.

Glad to know that SilverHawks is due to be represented - even though I believe that it’s inferior to ThunderCats, it’s still a really fun show and I’m glad to see it getting some attention in your book!

Probably too late to ask since I imagine you are completely done with interviews. Was wondering if it is still possible that you have an interview w/ someone affiliated with LJN, for your chapter on the toys, to determine once and for all if a Mad Bubbler did or did not, in fact, ever get produced and released? There have been numerous rumors that I know MannyCollectibles has tried to track down regarding people saying they had one or sold one, but nothing ever came of it (including images). No box art, prototype, or actual produced figure has ever made its way into the public light during the internet age. Are all of these just false rumors, or do a small handful actually really exist?
Dave if its too late I understand, but hoping between now and 2011 you can get another final interview or two and sneak some answers to this age old question into the book (if you haven’t already).
