The OS definitely had a great and colorful cast and environment. I think the OS was more geared towards that whole villian of the week/episodic style and had writers such as Overgard with such an outlandish imagination. It also had many more episodes to explore the world and introduce characters.
I still believe the NS introduced us to some amazing secondary characters (petelars, duelist, drifter, elephants etc). I also wonder who/what we would have been introduced to in a second season. I know many have a negative view of it, but I am still a fan and feel it had so much potential!
A contest full of toys that nobody wanted…seriously this show HAD potential but both parties (TV promotion/Toys) were handled poorly. Never the less I’m grateful they brought it back because a lot of other cool shows in our time never saw a reboot: SilverHawks, Battle of the Planets,Brave Starr, Captain Planet and etc.
I have to disagree man. I found the elephants quite annoying after a while. The dogs seemed okay. I think the Duellist and Drifter would have been more interesting if they had had actual names.

A Bravestarr reboot would be awesome. I loved the original. It had a great TV show and toy line but the problem was they released the toys to retail for Christmas before the TV was on the air so the toys did not sell well over Christmas so it was classed as a failure. If Mattel had took their time Bravestarr would have been a huge success.
Haha I guess we just don’t see eye to eye as I preferred the elephants over the dogs. I also wouldn’t really have any interest in a Bravestarr reboot as I never really cared for the original.

I enjoy how the dog society is… dog-like. Dog leadership is based on fighting and strength in the wild, pack mentality and all. Fits well. I’m absorbed show, good show. Don’t seem to be making egregious mistakes.
The elephant concept was cute, and was the start of a nice mystic explanation for their almost transcendent behavior in the wild(elephants are neat look 'em up)… But I’m taking points off for failing to make it Matriarchal (I thought this was common knowledge? Kinda the first thing they mention when their looked up. There was a Thornberry’s episode on it). It’s like going to a beehive and asking to see their king. it’s weird. You almost had me show! I would have sung your praises. But that failing broke me out of the magic circle and I begin to suspect all that was clever about this was done on accident.
Everything felt kind of… empty. I wanna say it’s partly because the vessals via which we live this world (characters) and teachings are so uninviting. It’s like they are giving me the cold shoulder and I wanna go “well fine Iiiii didn’t wanna live in your world anyway”. but if I had never seen the show and dropped in on a game and the writers of the show kept out of it, I think I’d like the idea… If it was like a design your own character rpg thing. I mean I would like to go to that onmyou mystic place.
The OS had a village with robotic bears and candy fruit. Who wouldn’t want to visit a place like that.???:eek::o Yet the 2011 series managed to make it uninteresting.
Multiple shaped and coloured transforming robotic bears that live in a village that grows candy fruit. If that doesn’t scream being perfect for toy marketing by itself what does.

2011 ThunderCats had some elements that stuck to the original mythology, so that was cool! That’s why I think a Bravestar reboot would be beneficial not only if the stick to the original story line but because it would be amazing to have a Native American hero for a new era to go with the cool storylines. Think Clint Eastwood westerns meets Star Wars
hears native American hero and is immediately interested I like me some variety. I mean, what western-y stuff is really being done for kids now? They do still like it.
You should give Bravestarr a chance. It’s a bit like He-Man but a lot better. Native a American cowboy, old Shaman (called Shaman), robotic transforming horse and evil Skeleton cowboy. What’s not to love.
