I meant to ask that in the first place when i saw the new toy version of the sword of omens, doesn’t the hilt look a little bit like a Batarang attached!!!
Welll not entirely true. You definitely got some security people and pr reps in trouble. If the reaction was negative, you can bet the forum would have gotten a cease and desist.
I’m surprised that Bandai didn’t issue a press release to coincide with the unveiling at London ToyFair…surely they knew folks would post about it online…
and how exactly do you know this? Unless you work for Bandai or the venue Toyfair took place?
Eh..the major companies almost never do. The US toy fair is considered the International with buyers coming in from all over the planet and coverage by tons of press. That’s why most of the news comes from there. UK toy fair is notoriously low on info and images, mostly because people sneak pics (not to beat a dead horse.) I went once and most companies couldnt be bothered to pick their heads up to greet me as I wasn’t there to buy anything.
Make it days, if not hours. Even word of mouth would rush fans to take pictures in that event. Actually if instead of providing footage I only droped the news, we would have better pictures from fans that don’t bother now since these are online.

Just wondering: before you went to the Toy fair, were you aware of a possible Thundercats exhibition there or did it just came out of the blue? and you weren’t expecting anything?
I’d be pretty surprised if you saw anything else before NY Toyfair..if we are even allowed to shoot it there.
I went there with my sister who is very much into Hello Kitty but also for the tiny chance of them having any new ThunderCats material.

I am saying this because no one from this site was expecting this revelation today…
I don’t believe anyone was even aware that Thundercats would be present at this event.

Absolutely, the posting up of these images was a surprise for all of us on the site (including us team members / mods / admins), but a very, very welcome one! 
I believe Neil said that he’d been expecting something to come out of New York Toy Fair and to be honest so was I - so it was a nice bonus to see something a little bit earlier than expected! 
I’d been feeling a bit negative about the new ThunderCats series, but seeing how great these redesigns are I’m now really pumped up about it! If these are coming out in the autumn (fall), I certainly know what I want Santa to bring me for Christmas!

I’m hoping for a dual launch on both sides of the Atlantic, otherwise I’ll likely have to import some of the stuff as I’m not waiting an whole year like UK fans did with the 2k MOTU series and toys!

And i presume their price should be much less than the statues(of course) and staction figures.
Abut the designs, Yeah,they are much different but it’s just a matter of getting used to it,especially after we see them animated

I’m hearing you loud and clear on that one, I actually did break down and buy 2002 He-Man & Skeletor from an online retailer in the US and paid top dollar, otherwise I was patient, LOL! 
But, no way can I wait for these little beauties! drools uncontrollably
Absolutely, I would very much suspect that these will retail in the UK for less than £10 each (been a while since I bought an action figure “off the peg” so not sure what the going rate for them is these days, last time I think it was about £8.99?), which is a lot cheaper than a toyline like MOTU Classics and cheaper too than a statue, bust or staction!
I do have a suspicion that the Classic-style ThunderCats will be a bit more expensive, probably around the £20 mark, maybe even a bit more than that. But, the new-look figures will be targeted for mass market retail and so should be within the budgets of most ThunderFans, IMO!

3 and 3 quarter is 8 to 9 dollars here in the states with 6 inch super posable at anywhere from 13 to 17. The Mattel collector MOTU figures are 20 a pop from their website.
10£ is a good price for action figures. The only thing worrying me is dr_slump’s comment on their height. I can’t get used to the idea of Thundercats being in similar height to G.I JOE…And if Bandai decides to reproduce the ljn toys in such a small scale as well, then it’s going to be a big flop,guaranteed.

I was never completely into the 200x He-Man toys so only imported a copy of the opening episodes. With ThunderCats it’s gonna be a totally different story though! 
Remember we have 3 different lines here. I assume the smaller figures will retail at the same price as the Ben 10 toyline…
At Argos (UK’s no.1 Toy retailer) I’m seeing the 10cm figures selling at £5.99 each…
I’m guessing the deluxe 15cm figures will be around £7.99-£8.99. As for the collectors figures…
I remember when I picked up an Argos exclusive WWE wrestling figure for a friend in the USA a few years back and I believe I paid £14.99 for that. So I’d assume the Classics figures will be around £15-£18 price range
Just to let you know guys, I forgot to tell you that many people were using their phones to take pictures when I attended… just hope they had better results and that they won’t post them only on their facebook profiles!
