As the title implies, this is my first visit to Thundera. Cybertron is my usual home, but now I’m trying to diversify my knowledge base on other contemporary toy series of the 80’s. I look forward to meeting and perhaps dealing with some of the good Thunderians here!

Howdy. Actually, if Time Traveller is a cybertronian (sp?), I think the ThunderStrike will be in more danger of getting hit on since it has two modes.
Joking aside, welcome aboard, you’ll find we’re a jolly bunch around here.

Cybertronian= transformer, yes. But you needn’t worry about the safety of your vehicles… Thunderstrike isn’t my kind of thing, and Thundertank, well, why buy a tank when one could transform into one? Thank you all for the warm welcome. I also can’t help but notice a Go-Bot arrived in your ranks a short while ago… they’ll never give up that “Go-Bots were here first” angle, will they?
A “Go Bot”? OMG, does anyone even watch that show? LOL I’ve heard of it but it was usually a butt of some kind of joke ROFLMAO!
Welcome Time Traveller! I’ve been watching lately the old G-1 Transformers.
It was a hell of a show, the closest in quality to Thundercats. Most likely because they were produced after the same recipe: American story and Japanese animation.

Hate to burst your bubble, Lordore. But Transformers originated in Japan. It was brought over here and americanized.
I know my friend, Tygron. The line was based and born by the Japanese toy company Takara who manufactured transforming robot-fugures named as Microman and Diaclone since 1980. About three years later, Hasbro attended the Tokyo Toy show in search for a new series, then they struck a deal with Takara and bought the rights. However, the original Transformers G-1 cartoon was written and recorded in U.S, the Voice actors, writers and directors(Jay Bacal, John Gibbs) were mainly American. The animation was provided by Japanese studios like Toei, a studio which has created a large number of famous TV series(Dragon Ball, Voltron).

Thank you all for the very warm welcome. I’ve always enjoyed small, close-knit community type forums, and this seems to be one of them!
Despite my non-Thunderian heritage, I’m already feeling a little at home among these cat-people (and robotic teddy bears).
And, hey, just in case you need to blend in a little, we do have some half way decent vehicles around here. Top of which of course being the thundertank. Sleak, stylish and just full of surprises.

Actually, Skycutter would make a pretty cool Decepticon name.
I’m kind of curious Time Traveler…since you’re an Autobot…do you think you could change the oil in my car? I don’t want my husband to do it because I’m sure there will be left over bolts or parts even though he says that won’t happen LOL
I’m just kidding…I’ll take it to a mechanic…I still don’t trust him with it…I need it for college LOL
