What is your take on how one becomes a lord of the Thundercats?

I would think there’s an element of bloodline involved, that then has to be substantiated - note how Lion-O was first the hereditary Lord, and then had to go through the Anointment Trials to afirm his leadership, which is a tradition the ThunderCats brought with them from Thundera. I think the only thing really open to specualtion is what would happen if a hereditary Lord had failed their Anointment Trials - who would be next in line for the mantle of leadership? The Mutants seemed to think that Lion-O’s failiure to successfully complete the Anointment Trials would leave the ThunderCats leaderless, but I would have thought there should surely be some means in place whereby a new (non-hereditary) leader could be anointed…?

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]Should a Thunderian Lord have no heirs to succeed them, or even fail their anointment trials, I could see a situation where the council would vote and select an ?interim? Thundercat Lord. This new Lord would still have to successfully pass all of their anointment trials, before they could be fully vested with the title.[/SIZE][/FONT]

Yep, I’d say Fuzzy has probably nailed that - it all sounds well thought-out and plausible to me, and all based on stuff that is stated in the cartoon. An all-round excellent post!
