ThunderCast Episode 7 Date, Time, Panel, & Outline

So ThunderCast Episode 7 is scheduled for Saturday September 6th at 3PM PST/11PM UK/12PM Germany time.

Panel includes:

  • MannyF
  • Kyle
  • MannyR
  • Nick

This is an outline for tomorrow’s podcast episode. It is of course, just an outline which means we will probably stray away from it time to time, but hopefully it gives everyone an idea of what we could possibly talk about.

Oh and I assumed that I would be hosting, but if someone else wants to host, feel free to speak up…I don’t have a problem with it. I’m hoping we can squeeze everything into an hour…!

Feel free to add, remove, or modify anything you see.

Have an awesome podcast recording, guys, really looking forward to hearing it!

Take care…

Sorry guys, looks like I am not going to be able to make it to the Podcast recording this evening. Not going to get my work for tomorrow done in time like I anticipated.

Enjoy it and fire across the recorded mp3 asap and I will upload it to the site.

Episode 7 is recorded and I’ll try editing it as best I can. It was just me and Nick though…hopefully the next episode we can get a full panel.

Thanks Nick!

Chris here…

Someone’s been asking about when ThunderCast episode 7 is going to be released: http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2988 . Don’t really like their tone, but I suppose the point is a fair one given that we’ve been sitting on the unedited version of this for nearly 2 months - how’s the editing of it going?

Take care…

I was supposed to get it. Didn’t, though.

Unfortunately, I’ve yet to edit these interviews as well. I can’t do it all including the podcast - so I’d like to request that I not edit it and someone else take the reigns.

Chris here…

Doh! Third thread today that I’ve looked back over and realised I should have replied to before now - I’ll ask for a new brain for Christmas…

Hey Nick, that’s fair enough as far as I’m concerned if you feel as though you have too much on your plate - however, it does beg the question, who now will edit the ThunderCast episode 7? I believe (if I’m remembering correctly) that MannyF didn’t feel he’d be able to do it, Kyle right now I know is horrendously busy, and I don’t know of anybody else who has the ability to edit it…? :frowning:

I have very basic software that would edit the raw dialogue, but I can’t overdub the ThunderCast opening and closing music, or insert an interview segment, etc - and, I’m guessing that that’s where the major editing work is. (I also still don’t have a lot of spare time, but I guess at the moment that’s true for all of us.)

Anyway, regardless of this, could I suggest that we ought to figure out what our “official” response to this would be, and then somebody post it up: http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2988 ?

Take care…

If someone edits the raw dialogue, I’ll pitch in anything else that needs to be done (intro, inserting stuff etc). That’s easy enough and takes minutes - just give me all the audio files needed and I’ll make it work.

If you want, I’ll respond to that post. Something along the lines of “We apologize for the delay in the release of ThunderCast but have been preparing much content for the website that we’ve actually had issues with other things that have been held back until now. We will be releasing the podcast as soon as possible and an announcement will be released on the website regarding it in due course”.

Chris here…

Well, fair enough - I’d like to wait for a short while and see if someone else steps up to the plate, but if no one else does, if someone can upload the raw dialogue file I’ll take a look at it and see what I can do - I can’t imagine there’s a lot to edit out, is there…?

I definitely think that would be a good move IMO - you’re a legendary figure, Nick!

Take care…

Um’s, ah’s, stuttering.. the usual. Depends what you want to do with it. I’d say you’d need a day or so to go through and edit things - it takes me about that for an interview. So same thing, I guess.

Once you do that, send it to me and I’ll do the rest, polish it up a bit with the music and that.

Chris here…

If you can let me know where the raw dialogue file is uploaded, and I’ll see what (if anything) I can do with it. I’m definitely not making any promises here, because my spare time is quite limited and I have a few bits and pieces to do with this site that I want/need to work on…but, if I find I get enough spare moments to take a look at this, I will happily do so.

And, needless to say, if someone else wants to step up to the plate and take a crack at editing this in the meanwhile, don’t think you’d be treading on my toes, I’d be only too glad for you to help me out by taking it on!

Take care…

We really should try to get this online within the next week or so. Give it to me - I’ll see what I can do with it. I’ve got some spare time.

Sorry guys…I’ll upload the files and let you know when its there. I really don’t think you need to remove all the stutters…because you’ll be doing a lot of editing on my part.

That’s okay. I’ll do what I can - get it released in some shape or form by December. I’ll make another teaser announcing the Earle Hyman interview for the ending (if you want).

A heads up, I spoke with Nick and we decided to just release this episode at a later time. We’ll make it a lost episode and upload it when the podcast is in a hiatus. I’m really sorry about all of this, I think it’s better to record a new episode and make that episode 7.

Thanks for understanding.

We’ll release this at some point in time. However, we really should get an episode uploaded and online as soon as we do it. It really does need very little editing - any technical errors etc should be fixed, but, no stutters and such. It’s very annoying to edit all of that out - and, without all the very in-depth editing, we could get episodes out on the day which would definately be more satisfying.

Chris here…

Thanks for the heads-up - I know I’m a fine one to talk given how much my schedule prevents me from participating, but it would be great to try and get an episode of ThunderCast lined up soon!

Take care…

Heads up…the ThunderCast domains have been renewed for an additional 2 years. We also have www.thundercatsonline.com which redirects to www.thundercatslair.org
