Viewership actually went up a little bit at 1.65 million.
It’s constantly been either #2 or 3 in it’s time slot if that helps. Usually gets beat by WWE wrestling (though last episode almost caught up with it). This week was beat by wrestling and football, so it is (and pretty much has constantly been) the highest non-sport show in it’s time slot.
That is awesome news. That does give me some piece of mind that it is a success. I am interested to see how it does in the International markets when it finally gets released
Hopefully with school getting back in session kids will now be home more.

Yes. Steady and holding. So far so good. If this keeps up we’ll be sure to get a season two.
Let’s just hope that the six week hiatus doesn’t cause the viewership to drop off too much.
I don’t think it will for 2 reasons:
- Since the show (until recently) had no reruns the episodes aren’t over exposed and reruns will still be quite watchable. And it gives people who missed an episode or two a chance to catch up.
and
- New episodes of Batman, Young Justice, Ben10, Generator Rex, and SW Clone Wars starting next week could bring in some new viewers who didn’t want to watch the over exposed reruns of those shows.
Down a little bit at a .5 rating, 1.5 million viewers.
Keep in mind the World Series pretty much destroyed all shows that night. I suspect the show ratings will head north back to a .6 rating this Friday.
Well that isn’t that bad considering it has been 6 weeks since it last had a new episode and the world series.
Yeah, if anything you would think it would be a bigger drop but this series has had a pretty consistant viewer base regardless of what happens pretty much.
What I’d like to know is, when is the word coming in for a second season? We’re barely into the current Fall season, and already a few shows have been announced as being renewed: The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy…heck even American Horror Story which is brand new and only 4 or 5 episodes in, all recently just got orders for new seasons. So where’s the news from CN on ThunderCats (and for that matter, Young Justice)?

Young Justice already has been renewed for its second season, and that’s already been in production. ThunderCats still has to prove itself, but if Young Justice is getting one, TC should be able to get one too. At least I hope it can. Television is a tricky business and it’s very hard to predict what kinds of executive decisions will be made. It’s a good thing the toys are apparently selling well.
I dunno, a 1.5 million viewership at the very minimum even during things like hurricanes, the world series, etc. does show that the Thundercats has some strong legs to stand on and can last them for quite awhile. Especially since they obviously aren’t going the route of the original 80s series and other cartoons of this era where they pretty much just try to last forever and don’t actually have an overall storyline.
I really think Thundercats will catch up. The series is different from other shows out there atm and just THAT i think will let it stay.
At least i hope so.

While I do hope the ratings do improve more as well 1.5 million viewers isn’t bad for a prime time cartoon, especially one that is on a cable channel. Now if it was on a basic TV channel on around saturday morning or right after school lets out then that would be another story but it’s not.
I really hope it does better then last weeks, heck better then most of the episodes have been doing.
So what are the ratings for the last two episodes?

Wait, I heard that back in July, after the premiere episode it was already renewed for a second season then. I would really hate it if Young Justice was renewed and not Thundercats (maybe I just don’t like YJ because they didn’t use Tim Drake or Bart Allen).:lionomad:
