especially when he was shocked that most of the simulations that hementioned were failing. I feel like he might lure Vultaire in the same way he lured in Grune - more advancement in the world than he could come up with.
What I don’t get is Vultaire just leaving his people like this. I just does not seem to flow. Last episode he was so proud to be a far superior bird. Now, he just puts up his hands and leaves his own people? He just leaves his own race? Just like that?
To me, it would seem more logical for him to join mumm-ra due to his hate for the kats. If the birds were destroyed he could blame the cats for the fall of the birds and then join mumm-ra. But then, I’m not writing the show.
At some point in this episode , when mum-ra did that giant purple ball of destruction thing . Voltaire looked at it with amazement . and I think that was the point when he realized - he wants to be on THAT side .
Also keep in mind that Mumm-Ra offered all of Avista a deal to spare them in favor of an alliance. Vultaire just took the deal, and his people opted not to follow him.
It wasn’t like he just suddenly said “Screw the birds, I’m going to Mumm-Ra”. He felt his race was offered to either align with the Cats or with Mumm-Ra who had just at that very moment demonstrated awesome power.
At that moment he made it clear he wants to be on their side . when Mum-ra has made the offer , that was just his opporunity .
He is one of these villans that changes sides depending on the shift of power . representing the oposite of loyalty … same reason he first agreed on betting the stone as he was sure he is going to win but and when he didn’t - whoops . changed his mind and hesdeciding not to keep it …
Both of you guys are right. He did change sides after he saw Mumm-ra’s power. I also know that Vultaire has to become the os vulture man. However, I guess I placed to much stock into Vultaire’s pride as a bird. And this pride/hatred of the birds would be the reason he joined Mumm-ra. In the end it turned out whoever had the biggest gun. After all, he also said in the episode, “I’m a politician.”
Also, regarding Mumm-ra offer, do you really think that Mumm-ra would allow the birds to rule the universe “together”? That was just a ploy to land safely into the city. As Mumm-ra later said to Lion-0 “I on the other hand have no problem.” He was referring to the letting the city plummet to the ground after the stone was taken.
and this is why I really hate politics…

What I want out of Season 2?
More interactions between The Four Mutants. How is somebody like Vultaire going to react to characters like Kaynar & Addicus? How is Slythe going to like putting up with an ego like Vultaire’s while also trying to keep Kaynar & Addicus under control?
There hasn’t been a whole lot of interaction between the 3 Mutant Generals and Vultureman just got there, so I’d love to see them play off of each other & interact in conversations, like they did in the OS.
Also, don’t forget Vultaire felt hurt in his pride and betrayed by his own people when they decided to follow Tygra’s lead in the attack against Mumm-Ra’s fleet.
Yeah, I too would like to see more interaction between them.
