The ThunDerianRoyalGuard Collection

Thanks guys!
I finally managed to snag the rare “Wheeled” ThunderClaw variant! It was in horrible, horrible shape when I got it. It was dirty, discolored, broken and incomplete.
These were the sellers pics:

Now, after some replacement parts, repairing and cleaning:

Much better, right? The action-feature works, all the rusty screws are replaced and it’s as clean as it can be. I bought some replacemet stickers which will arrive soon. When those are applied, it’ll be as good as new. Almost

Also bought this weird Monkian. I’ve seen a few of these pop up lately. It’s not a variant, I believe the gray color is caused by the either discoloring or deterioration of the plastic. This is supported by the “plastic-rot” spots on the head. Still cool looking

The Thnderclaw looks great! I always want to attempt a restoration such as that but never seem to find the time.

I also have a Monkian like that (although not that extreme) I have always found them an interesting oddity as well.

Nice! I was a little curious about the Wheeled variant. Was the wheeled version the American version and the foreign version did not have the wheel? I dont know too much about it, so I was curious.

The ThunderClaw toy looks pretty good.

Cool additions, TRG! :thumbsup Never saw that version of Monkian. The poor guy looks ill.

That’s awesome. I didn’t know there was a variation of the Thunderclaw. I think the one I briefly owned had the wheel.

It’s my belief that the wheeled variant was the first one produced and was replaced by the non-wheeled version after a brief distribution. Mine came from the UK, so I’m assuming it was sold there. It wasnt sold here in Holland. I always thought that the Argentinian version by Playful also had a wheel, but I have no proof of that.

Do you remember where you got it?

Thanks!

Haha!

When you find the time you should go for it, it’s very rewarding! And I’d love to see that Monkian of yours, maybe in your collection thread?

I got it in a job lot on Ebay UK from England. It wasn’t in the best of shape, just bought it as the job lot had a junker Thundertank I wanted for parts, a worn Panthro and a Bengali in great condition.

Thanks for the info! And that sounds like a good deal!

After posting that Gray Monkian I was reminded of another figure that suffers similar symptoms. I bought this figure because I felt sorry for it. That sounds weird, it IS weird and I dont care  I’ve never seen an intact Mumm-Ra in worst shape than this. The pictures dont do him justice, he looks awful, just horrible. He’s discolored, has plastic-rot on all limbs… poor little fella. All the way from Italy, he can now enjoy retirement at my place. Enjoy?

That is probably the worst plastic rot I’ve seen on any toy.

Yeah, he’s the best of the rest

I would have thought there would be an official version of this one, released as an exclusive or something. But since there isn’t, I got an extra Funko POP! Lion-O just to repaint: Evil Lion-O!

Really like the Evil Lion-O. He was always one of my favorite Thundercats memories from my childhood viewing.

Glad you like him, guys!
Got this recently. It’s an old TV guide from Mexico featuring Felinos Cosmicos! (LOVE how that sounds!)

Nice find on the hybrid Slithe! I have been trying to keep an eye out for one at a reasonable price but haven’t seen any on eBay lately.
