The Shifter

I find this episode interesting and lacking a lot of potential. I had two thoughts.

  1. The episode focused mainly on the shifting of Panthro:panthro: and Snarf. Towards the end, Lion-O:liono and Wilykat:wilykat: switched bodies but only briefly before they worked together to summon the Eye of Thundera and the Shifter hit it. Personally, I think it could have been a much better story to have focused the shifting on Lion-O and Wilykat. Wilykat was always eager to grow up and seemed to harbor a little envy that Lion-O got to grow up so fast. Being in Lion-O’s body would have given him a new perspective and could have created an interesting dilemma.

  2. The voices bug me a bit. The sound of a person’s voice is dependant upon their physical body. When they shifted, we shouldn’t have heard Panthro’s voice coming out of Snarf and vice versa. I think it would have added to the humor of it if we heard Panthro’s voice inflections and mannerisms through Snarf’s voice and vice versa.

That would have been funny, lol. But I guess they were trying to avoid too much confusion for the audience.
