Coldwin and I went back to the local TRU in Clarksburg today, because we were passing it on another errand. The good news was that they restocked a couple of days ago. They even had a space for the elusive playset that we’re missing. (The Tower of Omens, I’m hoping.)
The bad news is, said playset, any Thunderkitten figures or Cheetaras (I’ve been looking for the kittens for a friend of mine), and the classics they had were already sold out as of yesterday.
So far I found them once at the Walmart in Clinton, NJ on Monday night. They had a case of the 4 inch figs (LionO, Tygra, MummRa)x3, and (Panthro, Cheetara, WilyKit, WilyKat)x1. A case of the classics (Lino and Tygra)x2, the Thundertank, and the 8 inch wave.
I picked up 2 of the classic LionO’s one to open and one to keep closed, 1 classic Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, WilyKit, WilyKat. I passed on the 8 inchers and the tank for now.
My local toys r us has the classics, 6" and the 4" deluxe. Tags out for everything else, including the Tower of omens.
Did any of those tags have green sticker dots? If they did, that means the toys are on their way.
When we were there yesterday, the missing stuff had a green dot that said 8/16. We asked someone there and he said that was the date it sold out on.
Green dots are supposed to be removed the moment the merchandise is taken out of the box. They’re meant to alert employees that merchandise is on it’s way.
Man that TRU is messed up.
Hmm, I wonder if they stocked it on the 16th and sold out and just didn’t remove the dot, then? Or maybe that guy was behind and just blowing us off? He was busy stocking something else two aisles down when we asked.
I just hope I can get there when they actually have one in stock before too long!
Best thing to do with TRU is find out when they have a truck arriving, then call that morning (because the stuff gets put out overnight typically) ask if they have the item in stock and then get them to hold it for you.
I rarely ever just pop into a place, I like to call and have it held for me before wasting time and gas. 
Walmart on Bethel didn’t have em yesterday. TRU on Sawmill was cleaned out of 4 inchers as of 5 PM yesterday too. Had some Classics, Tank, Deluxe Sword. Got tired of trying to track drown Grune and Cheetara just ordered a case from BBTS. Now I just need to figure out how to spend my $10.00 in Geoffrey bucks I earned from buying:

But yea, Kmart and Walmart have the best prices on some stuff. Everything else is about the same.
So far, I’ve seen one Wal-Mart in Cumberland County (NC) with shelf pegs for the toys (no toys yet). One Wal-Mart I’m very sure will not have them, at least for a while. K-Mart and TRU taking FOREVER to restock.
But don’t worry, they should have plenty of figures this week since I don’t have any money…
Between Miami and Naples FL I have been able to aquire everything with the exception of both versions of Grune and the Tower of Omens. Grune I can not find anywhere, which sucks as he has always been one of my favorite characters.
It’s interesting to see how they ship these toys out because the TRU in Naples only got the 6" figures, the mini Claw Shield and mini Sword. The TRU in Miami however got all the really cool stuff like the deluxe versions of Lion-o, Mummra, and Tygra, plus all three vehicles (lion-o, Tygra, and the Lizard Cannon).
On a side note none of the places I have been to on both coasts of FL have had the Classic Lion-o or Tygra.
What are the two versions of Grune?

So for those of you hitting up your toys are us and not rewards members..may be a good idea to become one.. and if you are.. well use those coupons..

Also want to let you all know.. as a TRU employee, I unload the trucks.. We are normally getting every figure in, EXCEPT the 4 inch basic.. we only got 1 shipment of them so far. So they are each in short supply or we are just not getting them in. We have been sold out since the day they came in and we havent gotten any replenishment on them. The rest of them though seem to be coming in every truck or every other truck
As of this morning there are toys at the Grasslands Wal-Mart on Hwy 9 between Cumming and Alpharetta, GA. There were several each of the Classics (and they were only 16 bucks each, I was surprized), at least one of each figure of the 6-in. line and several of each of the 4-in. Except the little Cheetara now, no more of her, sorry but I got the last one.
There were also Thundertanks and Sword of Omens. So, if you’re in this neck of the woods, good hunting.
Woops, I thought there was a small scale Grune. My bad.:rolleyes:
The ‘Deluxe’ Grune is at 4" scale so they are one and the same 
All three Toys R Us in the Denver, CO area carry them. We have everything but the Tower of Omens.
Great news here in augusta ga, Yesterday I went by the tru which is the only place where I have found the cats at well got me a 6 inch panthro and mumm-ra. The day got better well I went to the wal-mart i had been watching and going to every night since last week. Walked in and saw they took the papers down off the shelf’s so I was like here we go:) wasn’t sure 100% of them getting something but had a gut feeling.
So I got there my normall time waited a bit and saw someone start rolling out the toys. So I went to look BAM spotted ban dai boxes:jaw: . So I asked a lady hey what time would toys be stocked by? she said she had no clue. so then I spotted a guy and asked him he was a big wig person like the big boss lol. so i asked him as i told him about only finding them at toys r us and i still needed some. I told him they had them out to be stocked. he was well which box so we both walked over I pointed to the box with the 4 inch figs as he open the box he said sorry man got some important stuff to do just open any box and take what you want. I was like WOW. I found 1 box of 4 inch , 1 box of classic’s , 1 box of 6 inch, 1 box of thundertank, and 1 box of the sword of omens. I got both classics lion-o & tygra, 6 inch mumm-ra & panthro, 4 inch cheetara,lion-o,tygra,panthro

Yeah I can report in GA walmarts as well the same thing. They now have 6" figures, at least 3 thundertanks, 4 DX swords, and 2 of each of the 8" classic line. I just ended up with the classic 8" Lion-O for $16.95 + tax. Would have spent more there but I had to get a new video card today as well.
They had 6" Panthro, two of Lion-O and one 6" Mumm-ra. Just weird that Cheetara doesn’t have a 6" figure yet. I assume it will happen though in the next wave of toy releases.
