It’s a fan thread in the 2011 series forum for the new Panthro, so let’s allow only those who are a fan of this new Panthro post here. If you’re a fan of the old Panthro but not a fan of the new one, just stay out of the thread and let those who like the new Panthro talk about that character.

  2. Liking the new Panthro doesn’t mean you have to like everything about that character, it’s okay to post some negative comments as well, but in this thread it should be by people who overall like the new Panthro.

  3. Let’s keep the fan threads debate free. If one person says something they don’t like about the new Panthro that another person would like to debate or vice versa, then you need to debate it in another thread about that particular topic.

I did like his entrance to the series in episode 4, sure he was shown before THAT was his true first time in the show.

I don’t like him to much though. Tygra is my favorit and will probably will always be. Him and Lion-O FTW.

Panthro is one of my favs, although I still prefer the classic look over the modern one with hair/sideburns.

It’s probably just something on the toy we’ll never see in the show. Like helicopter suit Batman.

And y’know, I prefer this Panthro over the classic. I never liked the look of the old Panthro. This guy though is awesome. And I like the sideburns.

no it’s gonna be in the show. there was an interview when these were released.

“:AMANDA:Lion-O and Panthro are part of the core ThunderCats team so they will always be included in the line. The changes in their look in the toy line correspond to the storyline and we’ve worked closely with WB on the timing of their release.”

Huh. Well then I should hope those are gloves. You’d think a kids cartoon wouldn’t show something as violent as a guy having both arms chopped off.

But then you gotta wonder why he’d need those, guys already strong enough as is.

Panthro is awesome in both versions and still a badass Mofo if you know what i mean, and i always envisioned Keith David as Panthro’s voice for a Thundercats remake show but oh well.

I love the new Panthro. He was my favorite in the OS and now he still is in the this series!! I love he glimpse of him in the past with the completely bald head. I hope at some point he goes back to that. That is the only thing i dont care for that much, his hair and mutton chops. But it isnt terrible. I even dig the brown outfit like he was giving back back in the original sketches and what not. Great nod to back in the day.

The metal arms im not big on but we will see how that goes this upcoming season. What i want to know…who is driving the Thundertank in the meantime !!!

My guess would be Tygra since he’s already been showing driving it in the show.

I wonder if Panthro would actually let someone else drive the Thundertank; maybe the ThunderCats will have to walk instead of riding in the Thundertank. :smiley:
