I constantly discuss figure/weapon/package variations, but have yet to discuss factory errors. With anything mass-produced there has to be some oddball stuff out there…
wrong name stickers placed on figures
Wrong weapons/ accessories
Paint errors
mis-matched figures (two left arms, ect.)
Lets see them folks!
I will start with a Tygra that did not get it’s back painted!
This should be for mainly the Errors, factory variations for paint appearance such as Grunes painted and unpainted legs for example are probably not errors but a variation due to a factory matching how the figure should be painted.
Agreed! Like the famous Childbro (mostly German release) " orange head" Tygra… Btw I also have a Tygra with the unpainted back and I’ve seen more in other collection and online auctions.. a common error, if you will
there is a rattaro on an 8 back card I got out bid on 5 months ago, Ill see what I have in my photo collection. Ive seen them with wrong name stickers, and someone on the board has a haichaman moc with no helmet.
I also agree the grune with no pants is a variation and not an error
I have hachiman moc missing his helmet and a minature lion-o thats been given cheetaras staff. I only paid £20 for the hachiman and £5 for the mini lion-o because the sellers classed them as faulty but I prefer them above my complete hachiman and mini lion-o.
I’ve got a few hundred loose figures and still find other variants/paint faults everytime I go through them. Can I ask the orange head tygra I’ve heard people refer to (Childbro release), is that without the cream hair painted on or is it just another skin tone variation? I have 3 main different tygras loose, I’ll have to have another look through to see if I’ve got any unpainted faults/variations.
Sorry guys for some reason I my brain was telling me the question was about Lion-O darn Iphone text being small
It’s possible the original master that went to the factory had painted eyes and figures were based on that. Since there is a number of them around that is probably the case.
Same here. It’s one of the cooler variations out there.
Funny thing is this variation / error makes me feel like the people in charge of painting these figures didn’t know much about the actual show, which isn’t shocking by any means, but you would think that at least the supervisor overseeing all of this would have been more knowledgeable about the product and known Lynx-O was blind. It would be great to know just how this one happened.
