Just the other day, Fuzzy came across a particularly bad fanart of our proud, strong Cheetara that just had us asking ‘wtf’? Yes, Cheetara (in her original show depiction) is shown as being a lovely, strong, able Thundercat - but this version…yikes.
She had terribly broad shoulders and a tapered waist, her arms were much too bulky in muscle mass, her breasts and hips were lopsided and mishapen, and her face was manly, framed by a messy mop of hair.
And the fact that people were praising the crap out of it with the usual ‘neat’, ‘cool’ and ‘thumbs up!’ was the most amazing factor of it all. The artist does have some potential, but anyone with an artistic eye can see she does need to practice on anatomy and weight placement and such, but won’t be made aware of this (thus, will not improve) unless someone tells the artist that.
Though oddly enough, because of this same image, Fuzzy and I were inspired to create a few versions of some of the most commonly used depictions of our Thundercat heroine.
