This year is the 23rd anniversary to one of the conerstone movies of growing up in the 80’s! i saw this movie 2 times in theaters when i was 6 years old living in San Diego before moving to Carlsbad CA, i had some of the merchandise including Pizza Hut papers.
Too bad the sequels tarnished this movie’s legeacy as there can only be one.
Was there something significant about the number 23 in the movie that I am forgetting about? Why are they doing a 23rd anniversary edition? Could they not wait 2 more years and make it a proper silver 25?
Also, didn’t Disney make the exact same movie years later with digital animation and call it Dinosaurs? I remember seeing that and thinking what a rip off it was.
Until I clicked on this thread, I thought it was about the 23rd movie in the series! 
Seriously how many did they end up making??? Talk about milking it for all it’s worth! :rolleyes:

Its funny yous are discussing this because i bought it not so long ago on dvd. One of my fav Don Bluth films. Just a quality film and very emotional.
I’m not sure if I did or not. It came out in '88, right? I certainly could have, and I do have memories of seeing a Land Before Time in theaters, but I believe my memories are from one of the many sequels. They all kind of run together at this point…
