I’m fairly certain that a lot of people know this already, but, on the off chance that they don’t; Greg Weisman, the creator of Gargoyles, actually came up with a few spin-off ideas relating to the aforementioned series. Ideas that never actually made it passed the planning stage.
Bad Guys - A spin-off series that centered around 5 antagonistic characters from “Gargoyles”, all of them now calling themselves the Redemption Squad. All of them are now trying to find redemption for their past crimes and wrong-doings by working for some sort of organization, led by some guy called “Director”. This one was actually made into a graphic novel, but the stories that made it to that format were basically the ones that set things up for the series.
Gargoyles: The Dark Ages - A prequel series set at Wyvern Castle in the years preceding the episode “Awakening: Part One”.
The New Olympians - A series whose premise was set up by the “Gargoyles” episode of the same name. It is set a few years in the future and follows the New Olympians’ future decision to reveal themselves to the world in front of the United Nations.
Pendragon - Another series set up by a “Gargoyles” episode of the same name. It will follow King Arthur and his gargoyle friend, Griff, as they search for Arthur’s old mentor Merlin.
Gargoyles 2198 - A series set in the far future of the “Gargoyles” universe, in the year 2198. The plot will follow around an invasion by the alien Space-Spawn (Watch the “Gargoyles” episode “Sentinel”).
Time Dancer - A series following Brooklyn’s adventures travelling through time with the phoenix of the Phoenix Gate. Parts of this one were actually seen in three SLG Gargoyles comics.
Heroes of Ulster - A series following the adventures of Rory Dugan and Molly (Watch the episode “Hound of Ulster” to get what they’re getting at).
I really wish that these show ideas made it passed the drawing board.
