We still have a Ben Franklin in Iowa. Sadly, they no longer have toys. I need to ask if there’s any leftover stock tucked away in a back room.I’ve heard tales of complete Snake Mountains and such collecting dust in the back room of other stores.
Is it this Sword of Omens you´re refering to ?

KoC
no that is not it. However my cousin did have that set. The toy I had was about six inches long and the eye was closed on one side and open on the other side. It was real cheap and fell apart quickly.
I had a boyfriend who with his dad as an assistant heating/cooling system repair man at Hanes mall in the early 90’s during the summers off from school.
One day he was working at K&K Toys and in the crawl space someone had hidden a G.I.Joe Terrordrome, six Sky Strikers, two Cobra Rattlers, a bunch of carded Joe figures and some mini Transformers like Bumblejumper etc. as well as a Six Shot and Metroplex.
I guess someone who had worked there put them there waiting for a good time to get them and never did. (Probably fired for theft :mischievous: ) Friend boy bought all that stuff for the price on the boxes/cards and he let me buy Sky Striker, a Rattler, and a MOC Flint, Duke, B.A.T.s and Gung Ho.
He traded all of the other left over stuff to a tattoo artist for a Megaron on his lower back.
My husband has since taken that small collection from me and put it into his own. Little does he know my plan for taking my things as well as his with the assistance of the Ancient Spirits Of Evil. Mwaahahahaaa!8)
@Queen Lynxana: Thanks for the condolences, Grandma never thought much of me liking “boy” toys. I would say “Cheetara’s a girl!” and Grandma would say “Really? I couldn’t tell! All that runnin’ around it does makes me dizzy!”
I loved going to Ben Franklin in the 80’s. I got a whole set of Berserkers for $20.00!(and tax) I went back the next day after doing some work around the house and got a Safari Joe, Captain Shiner, amd a SilverHawks lunchbox for $16.00 more! (Of course I was driving myself then)
Now Ben Franklin is an arts and crafts type place.
I wish I knew then what I do now! I would have taken every bit of money I earned and just bought Thundercats stuff! The worst buy I never made next to the Variant Snowman was that at same BF! They had a Tongue A Saurus. The box had been opened and the inserts were a bit messed up but from what I could tell the toy was complete and the box wasn’t terrible. Since it had been opened it was $4.00.
Can you believe that? Someone kick the snarf out of me because I deserve it! :duh: :duh:
Steering a bit off topic guys, please keep it to Feliner talk.
Hey Manny, you gonna put these up some time soon? I’m dying to see them.
