I think we’re going to see it next episode. The thundercats search for the book of omens is the short synopsis. I reckon Panthro found out where it is but in the meantime Mumm-ra gets there too (with Jaga) so the confrontation is inevitable!
I think it will turn out that Mumm-ra wins and gets away with the book OR Grune betrays mumm-ra and takes it from him. We also might have some backstory about Mumm-ra’s past.
I’m expecting twists and turns.
Now watch this thread next friday as it turns out I’m completely wrong lol because I don’t know how this “labyrinth” comes into play
Did you notice how when Mumm-Ra tried to transform in the pilot he stopped short because of the Sun rising? Wondering why that is.
Also Mumm-Ra has bat-like features in this series. Could he be from a race of bats on Third Earth or is he perhaps extra terrestrial/ dimensional from Third Earth? Wherever he is from he seems to have a lock on the technology.
Yeah, his pointy, upturned nose is very bat-like. But the way his feet looked when he walked down those steps last episode seemed to be pretty telling… but I don’t know of what haha. Very animalistic compared to the rest of the cast.
Missed half of the synopsis there. It says they look for the Book of Omens and get trapped in a dangerous labyrinth. And the title is Journey to the Tower of Omens, so I assume the next episode is when they’ll find their home base.
They are really making us wait for that Everliving form, huh? I’m going to make a bold prediction and say we don’t see it until episode 13, the last episode in the story arc (they did say they were breaking this up into 13 part arcs, right?) and Mumm-Ra the Everliving Vs. Lion-O will be the climax.
If we get it next episode, that’ll be great though!

If you’re wondering what the storytelling reason was, I’d say it’s partially the “leave the audience wanting more” philosophy, partially the “delay the big threat as long as possible to prevent threat decay” philosophy that was used with the Decepticons in general and Megatron in particular on Transformers Animated.
