Yeah, I really hope that this will be one of the last few Lion-O focused episodes for awhile. I rather us get some episodes focusing on the other Thundercats. I understand we need them for the main hero to grow but I do want to see the other characters grow.
I don’t necessarily need flashbacks for them yet as there is still plenty of episodes this season, but I would like a little more focus on the others. Specifically Tygra and Cheetara.
Oh man…there’s something creepy about that drifter dude! lol …for the life of me I can’t think from what but he reminds me of someone, very similar voice and manner of speech!
While watching the trailer I half expected the sword to fail to do much to the stone because the sword should not allow Lion-O to use it’s powers for showing off or boasting!
You mean the EYE. The Sword holds no power.

If the Sword did that, Thundera wouldn’t have been a kingdom of bullying jerks. The NS Sword of Omens and the stone in its hilt are both morally unaligned (and quite possibly not even conscious like the OS versions).
Well in the OS Jaga always said stuff like “the sword will not obey a command for evil/bad things/unnecessary killing” etc… so even though the eye was the source of the thundercats power, it sounded like the sword too had it’s own …presence or conciousness or something.
But yeah suppose NS new everything!

Good point about the city full of jerks! clearly different from how the OS Sword/eye would act.
ye but in the OS the sword still did never matter as the EYE still hold the power and as the eye is an add-on to the sword… Then you still go by calling it.. Sword. IF you don’t wanna specify something, then just call the eye by it’s name.
I don’t see how hitting a rock to try to win supplies for the team would be considered evil.
I thought that the Drifter sounded super familiar. None other than Bill Dauterive from King of the Hill (and the red stapler guy from Office Space).
I may skip watching it this week. I’m really, really, really tired of watching this coc ky, arrogant Lion-O. But also for the reason that several people mentioned…

I agree with you on both. With the thought of the sword failing, I expected that to happen because he was being so stinkin’ coc ky and arrogant and full of himself. In other words, he was being overly prideful. It made me think of the OS episode where Lion-O tried to use the sword for game hunting and Jaga lectured him that the sword would not be used to harm innocent life for sport. Making it sound like the sword held itself high to the Code of Thundera. So I half expected it to fail him this time because of his attitude and purpose for wanting to wield its powers. Feeling disappointed that it succeeded for him.
The thing is though, Lion-O is king. Technicnlly the sword SHOULD obey his every command and he did nothing wrong really. He is just ****y cause he’s still young and that happend in the OS aswell.
And please don’t compare this rock scene with that of the animals, totatly different things also we don’t know (at least i don’t) why he is there? Maybe he is there to do something good and he had to prove himself being able to do it to the rest right? I don’t see why you are upset.
Not liking it… another Lion-o episode without the other TCs. Maybe the whole ep is better.
From the clips, it seems he’s trying to earn money for food supplies I think.
and I agree, the eps do need to start focusing on other members of the group at this point. Here’s hoping we start to get that from episode 9.
I like the idea of the Sword not working for him if his motives are not where they should be.
I don’t think that’s part of the Eye in this show. If it was Mumm-Ra would’ve never been able to use the stone. Right now what’s preventing him from using it isn’t the stone, but a spell the clerics put on the sword. The Stone is neutral. So as long as Lion-O himself isn’t evil the sword’s gonna work for him.
It would be cool, but also makes no sense in this series really. I don’t think Claudus was the most.. Well nice guy other then to other Cats. I’m quite sure the sword does what ever he want’s it to do, nothing evil though.
And that’s the thing, would it not be considered evil if Claudus or Lion-O would slay someone even if they are lizards? Just think about it, what makes the thundercats good? At least the ones who lived in Thundera.
Am I the only one who thought of the song “Float On” by Modest Mouse when they saw that scene with The Drifter? 
I am happy, however, that this episode seems to be going into more “fantasy” territory than “sci-fi” like the last episode.
I don’t think the cats were that much better tbh. They did control “the best lands” for a reason, OFC they fought for it.
And as far “back” they were with swords, bows etc. They certainly killed lots. Lived in a fantasy world like LOTR or similar. You get my point i think
