Lion-O mentions that the Lunataks are using their reflection to confuse the ThunderCats. Lynx-O then says he can’t determine the real lunataks from their reflections.
I’m just curious - what kind of instruments would Lynx-O be using that could see reflections and not detect actual people? 
probably just his brail board, as u may remember he can find locate hear or sense whatever is happening around him
But a reflection? How could instruments sense a reflection?
Perhaps Lynx-O can hear a difference by the way the sounds bounce off a surface from the sounds of a person. But since they are in a cavern, it’s almost like an echo and the cavern distorts everyone’s sounds.
That sounds plausible and the Keystone will be mentioned in Slithor’s and my fanfic.

i think ur question got morphed into “what instrument is lynxo using to detect where the lunataks are at” for that question I can think of two ways he can do that:
echo location like bats do to find their way around caves (the echo would not be distorted by the cave, this method is as accurate or more than sight its down to the millimeter in detection capabilities)
the other, which is the one im leaning towards is simply heat source, if be brail board can sense heat it can detect a possible living creature.
As far as your original question it would probably be something like a handheld camcorder that sees all the reflected images, and transmits only the visual data to lynxo through the brail board (with no additional data indicating whether there a particular image that is real and the others that are reflections)
i.e. if you were there at the crystal canyon and u held your handycam all you would get is the image of all the reflections, not which one is true and which one is false
