It feels to me as though this site has developed a slight new lease of life - so, to try and capitalise on this, I thought I’d take the liberty of raising the suggestion of a Team Meeting one more time!
To be honest, I’m not convinced that it’s possible to get all of the team online all at once any more - we’re all older than when the site started (remember that in December we’ll have been around for 4 years - yikes!), have more going on in our “offline” lives with schooling, jobs, social lives, etc. Factor into that the fact that several of us are all in different timezones and it becomes a bit of a nightmare!
But, I thought it was worth at least checking out whether there’s a time and day that at least a group of us would be able to do a text chat on Skype (or using some other system if preferred).
For myself, most of next week is out - but, I can be free at virtually any time on the following days:
Saturday 7th November Sunday 8th November Monday 9th November Tuesday 10th November (although there is a question mark over this one) Thursday 12th November (but only after about 8:00pm UK time) Friday 13th November Monday 16th November Tuesday 17th November
Although more than likely something will come up on some of those days, if we can arrange a Team Meeting early enough, I can stick it in the diary and say I’m busy!
The reason I would like a Team Meeting is basically to capitalise on the positive energy that’s finally seeping back into this site, and specifically (assuming MannyF is cool with this) to talk about how we can all work with him to help shape and execute his new site redesign. Having now realised how bad and/or outdated a lot of my HTML work on this site is (although I’d stress that Kyle’s work is, as you’d expect, of a completely superior standard), I’m keen to see it updated, and thus eager to support MannyF in his efforts to upgrade the site.

Just to add too that as an alternative to using Skype, I had a great time the other night catching up with Neil using Facebook Chat - I had no idea it even existed, it’s a brilliant thing! So, that’s another option if Skype wasn’t a possibility, as I know we’re all signed up to Facebook!
My college schedule at the moment is absolutely mad - assignments left and right. Also, I’m currently scheduled to hold a couple of interviews for my podcast in November and so, whilst dates shouldn’t be a problem, time might be. Since most of my stuff is very last minute, if I happen to get an interview around the time you meet, I’ll join you shortly after. I don’t wish to miss the meeting and this is merely a heads up in case anything pops up. Monday, Friday and the weekend is usually fine.
If we could just find out when MannyF, MannyC, Mark, Kyle and (perhaps even) Matt could do, and we’re there! If you guys could post up your availability, that would be awesome - many thanks!
Hope eveyone is well.. At the moment my availability is extremely minimal. Eveything is taking off at lightning speed as a freelance artist and also still holding down my part time job with apple.. spare time is not easily found.
My suggestion would be to position a day / time based on everyone elses availability and I will attend if mybschedle is clear.

How do these dates work for MannyF, MannyC, and Mark?
…and unfortunately, within the last couple of hours I’ve now been roped into something I can’t get out of on Friday 13th!
However, I should be available by about 11:00pm UK time at the very latest (possibly a bit earlier), and could certainly do a meeting for a couple of hours whilst I had my tea. I don’t know what times that would translate into for the rest of you guys in the US - does this sound at all workable?
(Also just to add that I’d also be around all day up to around 6:00pm UK time if the timing of that works out better.)
I’m actually off on the 13th, but I already have plans for the entire afternoon and evening (if I’m lucky, just kidding!). If the meeting happens when I’m available, I will definitely attend.
EDIT: I may be able to participate via the Skype app on my iPhone, but I’m not sure my lady friend would like that! LOL We’ll see though.
Hey MannyF, thanks for that! I’d really, really like you to be at the meeting if possible - so, if you can’t do Friday 13th (and I’d hate to break up your date, my friend, LOL!), then I think it’d be best to reschedule.
The only reason why I say that is because you’re the guy who knows what he’s doing re: the Wordpress redesign, and what I’d like to get the team chatting about is how we can work with you to move this forward!
However, if we’re going to go for Friday 13th, then (based on my hopelessly inadequate understanding of the time differences between GMT, ET and PST) the timings would be:
11:00pm GMT 6:00pm ET 3:00pm PST
…however, I could very easily shift that forwards by an hour if that was helpful to anyone (in fact for me it would be helpful) - just not sure how that would be for Kyle & Neil…
Well, since Neil & Nick are both free, what I’ll try and do is log onto Skype at 11:00pm UK time - if nothing else, the three of us can chat, and if any other TCL team members can be there, that’s awesome too!
Just to reiterate, for me this will need to be a text-based chat, as I’ll not long be back from somewhere and will be eating my tea whilst chatting with you guys!
I’m good to go for 6PM but am wondering if there is a web based skype or other client we can use? I am on a work PC today that doesn’t allow me to install skype.

I’ve no idea re: a web-based version of Skype, but am open to suggestions.
However - something that Neil & I have been using very successfully is Facebook Chat, which can be accessed via a button located in the bottom right hand corner of each Facebook user’s homepage, allowing Facebook users to text chat in real time. It’s a tiny bit more “buggy” than Skype or MSN (not to the point where it’s a big deal though), but saves having to load up software and has all the text-based chat features we should need!
LMK what you guys want to use - I’ve got to go out in about an hour but should be back in time for 11:00pm. Looking forward to it!
