how great would it be, for us fans, if someone came out with a TDM game, between the TCats and Mutants, including each sides’ allies? think Call Of Duty MP, with maps from around Third Earth.

hey DM, which teams could you visualize in the game, just off the top of your head? some ideas i had were; snowmen, tuskas, mutant goons, lunatack goons, the pirates, mumm-ra’s undead minions
I’d visualize Molemaster, the Driller, Spidera, the Inflamer, Queen Tartara, the Trollogs, and the Giantors on the evil side and Hachiman, Dr. Dometone, the Unicorn Keepers, the Berbils, the Warrior Maidens, and Turmagar on the good side.
Hey guys. Back again. Just been lurking here and checking in from time to time to see if there was anything worth commenting on.
I like the idea. In fact I’ve long had an idea for a TCats-based FPS game for a long time, mostly based on my own fiction. It would have you play as a Thunderian elite spy, having you go through the various locales in our fiction and have you fighting Mutants and Lunataks. You would meet up with the other Thundercats as NPCs who would brief you on missions and help you in battle at certain points.
I would love to make this game a reality, but don’t have the proper programming or game design experience to make it happen. So if anyone here does, let me know if you’d be interested. Currently I think the engine from Far Cry 3 would make an excellent candidate to base it on, especially after how I saw it used on the Blood Dragon expansion.
I’ve alos wanted to do a starship combat game based on the classic tabletop game Starfleet Battles. They made a series of computer games based on it called Starfleet Command, and there have already been many mods for it. So one based on TCats would certainly be possible. Factions that would be included would be Thunderians, Mutants, Terrans, Lunataks, and Avians (birdlike aliens who are Thunderian allies). Maybe even include the Kymera and Terrators as well.
i tell you, it’s just frustrating when you have to sit and watch opportunities pass by, because of lack of money to pay a programmer to make the games that you would love to play.
That’s quite true.
Out of curiosity, what would it cost to create such a game?
If it’s not beyond the realms of possibility, could us fans band together to fund it?
Maybe even release it on Itunes/google play for a small fee so anyone can enjoy it?
I love the Far Cry idea that was mentioned, or how about a COD style, maybe even GTA style?
I’m going off on a tangent here now, but imagine a smaller ‘app’ along the lines of google earth, only it’s actually ‘Google Third Earth’ so we can roam the entire map of Third earth, hell imagine ‘Third Earth Street View’
Ok i’m dreaming now, but that would be awesome.
