It’s nice to see a fan-made shorts.. either CG or animated. The live action stuff I’ve seen… well, it scared me. It was like a SciFi original movie that went horribly, horribly wrong.

Yeh I saw this when it came out… pretty cool to see it done.. theres some pretty cool CG software avaliable to a wider market these days, some of which I have avaliable at Uni.. its pretty powerful stuff. Looks like a TC fan got a copy :).. I wonder if the “Want to know more” address is directed towards the guys CG work or specific to a TC project.. hmmm

Help!

Hey all, I emailed the addy at the end of the clip and this was the response I got today… Problem is I don’t speak Portugese.. Anyone know what it means?

Ok neisan i have a rough translation that should help very much. Here it is:

“Always I expected that the movies did a film the height of so strong personages as the Thundercats, but now I tired. I resolved to take action and I have produced stuff about that. The near pace would be find persons that are going to face such project and that leads time. But to intençao yes is going to produce a long one. Clear that with everything certain still I should contact the holder of the copyright, but I find that that is it breaks easy.”

I remember how much I loved that video when I first saw it a few weeks ago - the only negative comment I’d make is that something like the Sword of Omens can be made to look gorgeous using 10-year-old CGI (remember Transformers: Generation 2?), whereas rendering the characters like the ThunderCats themselves in CGI, in a way that would look convincing, I think would be more of a challenge. Nonetheless, I would be fascinated to see the results - that is a beautiful trailer! :slight_smile:

Could any of you help me with good pics of the Thundertank or maybe a scan of the instruction manual of the Thundertank toy? I’m trying to make a 3D version but can’t find any good references.
