Hello Everyone,
Steve Perry here. It has been November since Nick Mills posted my plight on these boards and over the subsequent two months quite a bit has happened. I suppose the most important thing is to let everyone know I have not died yet. When that happens I’ll e-mail everyone from beyond the grave and let you all know what it’s like.
As we begin 2010 I find myself and my son once again looking at all the fine, fine people who helped us out in one way or another – from donations to words of support to all manners of sweet kindness. It has done one thing: renewed my faith in humanity.
I want to especially thank Nick Mills, my interviewer, and Manny from Manny’s collectibles. It was through Manny that I was able to sell (well, I GAVE IT AWAY!!!) THE ICONIC PIECE OF ARTWORK from Silverhawks that was used as the cover to the VHS release of my Silverhawks show, Darkbird. It was my most prized possession that I had somehow managed to hang onto all these years. It had been given to me by the artist, Bob Camp, who grew up to become the creator of the wildly popular (at the time) cartoon Ren and Stimpy. I really did give it away for the money to keep the electricity on.
This brings me to this last plea to all of you Thundarians – I once again need help keeping on the electricty. Due to the unseasonable cold weather here in Florida we find ourself facing a heating expense far beyond our means, and it is going to be shut off on Jan. 18th.
I am asking anyone and everyone if they will contribute between $5 and $15 to the paypal account set up for me - sandramaples48@yahoo.com. The one month electric heating bill is $298.
BUT I WANT TO TRADE SOMETHING IN RETURN for any help.
Some of you may know I wrote a Thundercats episode, #26 - SAFARI JOE. I would like to give you, in return for a $5 to $10 donation, a copy of the script. For $20 or more I will MAIL you a physical copy, signed to you. The $20 will covert what it will cost to mail it to England, and leave a couple of dollars left over.
$5 to $10 will deliver you a word file of the script to your e-mail. $20 gets you a printed hard copy, signed and personalized.
I also just thought, if anyone includes an extra $4 I can mail you a single page letter, signed, to act as a cover sheet.

While I hate to do all this, I am hoping you might enjoy the Safari Joe Script. I can email it to you in virtually any format, but Mircrosoft Word is the best.
I would also like to tell everyone that I was asked, and am participating, in a book to be published there in England about Thundercats. The book is being written by a fine fellow named David Crighton. He has selected Safari Jo for a charpter of the book tentatively titled “Script to Film”, which examines the process and differences between the finished writer’s script to the finished show. It seems most of the T Cats writers, according to David, are unwilling to participate much in it, while I have already written quite a bit for him, letting peole in on some very behind the scenes things that went on at Rankin Bass while I was writing the show.
I would also like to offer anyone interested a signed and numbered series of 25 of this impending book. When it is published I will sign and number 25 plates. Only 25. I do not know the cover price for the book, but if you are interested in RESERVING one of these 25 any amount you paypal to me will get you assigned a number – #1 is the first available right this second. If you decide to do this, you have to leave me a note and the paypal amount needs to be 9.99. The signed plate will include an original Thundercats drawing by me on it. as well as the signature, number and certificate of authenticity. EACH OF THE 25 DRAWINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT, and you MAY REQUEST I DRAW A CHARACTER – your favorite one. This will be one of a kind. While my own artwork is not really prefessional enough to work in comics, I did illustrate a published children’s book (way back in 1994) and have sold 70 original oil paintings – mostly dinosaur paintngs.
And know that every penny anyone cares to send will keep us warm during this cold snap.
