Anyone seen this? tons of fun.
I seen it. I have mixed feelings about it. I enjoyed it as it was fun and the characters were a lot more likeable and interesting compared to the prequel trilogy. However I am disappointed that the story was so similar to A New Hope.

I haven’t seen it, but there are a LOT of people who are complaining about that aspect of it. Even those who hated the prequels feel that at least they had an original story. I also heard that the musical score wasn’t outstanding as well. Which, if true, is rather sad considering the music has always been the strongest aspect of “Star Wars”.

Well I am not saying anything spoiler wise. But you should go and see it then you will see what I mean.
As much as I disliked the prequels at least the stories were a bit more original. Well…with the exception of The Phantom Menace which was a bit similar to A New Hope…but not as much as TFA.

I’ve seen it and got the same impression as Mark, “A New Hope” 2.0 lol
Didn’t like it. The story was ANH again, the new characters were dull and soulless… even Harrison Ford’s performance seemed as if he was making JJ Abrams a favor.

Agreed. Overall I liked the new characters I just wish they had a better story. Finn’s story was quite interesting at the start.
I wanted to go see Star Wars 7 but our cinema was booked solid…it’s still showing though so i could try again. My friend managed to get in to see it and he really liked it.
