Interesting; I have never thought of that.

Also, in many ancient American cultures, there were many feline gods as well (by “american” I mean all America, from Canada to Tierra del Fuego, not only the US); in Peru, many ancient cultures adored the Jaguar God, for example.

So maybe the whole TCs mythology was based on ancient cultures and their gods.

There’s a number of feline gods and goddess in ancient Egyptian mythology as well. If I wanted to expand to other parts of the world in general we’d be looking at long lists for all of them, so since Mumm-Ra is a mummy + pyramid I tried to stay in just that part of the world.

BTW, mythology was my first love. My tats are all mythology-based (if you count a Cheshire Cat as mythology, too, lol).

BUT (:D), there were momies and pyramids in ancient Mexico, India and Peru as well.

Yep, but no Sphinx, and I recall seeing that and the Egyptian style pyramids rather than the ziggurats, and the New World mummies didn’t have sarcophagi.

There are a few Lizard men in stocks…but you also see Lion-O, Tygra, and Cheetara infront of them protecting them from the mob. I do not think Claudus knows about the slaves. The only person you see with the “slaves” is Grune and we all know how he turns out.

We do see the T-cats protecting them yes… but from the mob composed of the commoner/majority population of Thundera. I have a feeling even if Clawdus isn’t involved, thier is still a predjudice amongst the Thunderian population against the mutants, and I’m betting the Thunderians do keep them as slaves. I wonder if that this time around, Thunderian socitey is corrupted, and the code of Thundera seen as an outdated relic.
