Ever since I started collecting Thundercats way back in the day, I have never understood why LJN didn’t produce Wilykit & Kat with the blue and red hover boards?
Its always struck me as funny that even though the actual card back shows the red and blue boards, you get the shovel looking one with the figure.

I remember when I was younger I took a small piece of flat wood, sanded it down, shaped it as best I could and painted it red, then another in blue, as to try and reproduce what is on the card.
Of all the things LJN showed off in adds and catalog’s, I think this is the one that really irks me that they didn’t follow through with. The blue and red boards really give the two figures that extra “oomph” when displayed.
I always preferred the prototype space boards and it’s a real shame they were not the ones released with the actual figures!
