Just wanted to brief everyone on the site’s statistics when it comes to number of visitors.
Despite the site’s inactive status, January proved to be a record month in regards to number of visitors. Here’s the progression leading up to January 2009:
October 2008: 13,010
November 2008: 11,988
December 2008: 13,056 January 2009: 14,937
These numbers are unique visitors to the website, meaning the number of unique ip addresses that are tracked by the server.
I just wanted to throw these numbers out there to give everyone an idea of how successful the site has been regardless of the limited new content we are able to create.
Those numbers are awesome! Sometimes I feel as though no one is looking at the stuff we’re creating because forum activity isn’t that high - clearly though the pages we’re making are being viewed by literally thousands of people, which is amazing!
Thanks so much for posting up this stats, Manny, I think they make for awesome reading and all of the team on this site should be proud of themselves!
Hey guys…Im back from my 1 month long hiatus due to some military training. The stats are awesome and I believe that is mainly due to our increased exposure via Google rankings. We have been on the top 10 for quite a while and in addition it seems like we are having many members sign up on our boards. We are almost at 500 members
I’d have to agree that the boards seem dead at times but there is huge exposure of the main website out there.
Just a quick update…I had not checked the site’s traffic in the last six months and was surprised to see that last month’s (May) unique visitor traffic was amazing!! I think being on the first page of Google has been helping us a lot.
My best guess is 30,000+ visitors. I have notice that we are getting about 1 visitor per day sign up. Granted some are spammers but i think 1st page rankings are helping us immensely
I think the forum registration is deceiving. There are a lot more spammers than we could imagine. The number of forum members is misleading. I think we need to start basing the community based on participation rather than volume.
Hey can anyone help me understand why we’re not listed on google’s search results any more? We’ve completely disappeared from the top 15 pages of results… www.thundercatslair.org/cartoon appears on about the 6th page.
quick update on this… we’re now back at the top of the search page, two spots below The Ultimate ThunderCats page and one spot below the imdb.com page for T-Cats.
btw I’ve been running a combined twitter and facebook promotional set of mini blog updates for this site and my rubberslug site and I’ve sent about 300 visitors over to TCL.org this way. All this in about two weeks, I think its a lot of fun too.
Thats great news…wow guys you know i have finally realized that my time devoted into putting up any content is basically nonexistant. I have quite a slew of things going on in my life right now that any time devoted to the forums itself is even minimal.
I feel like it is my duty to fill you guys in on an added enterprise that Ive taken on since June and basically it is the fact that I am basically running a small online business. At least for the next few weeks. Just to give you guys a quick overview I managed to score quite a big load of coins from banks in Puerto Rico. To be specific 2009 Philadelphia mint nickels.
Now you all are wondering how I can possibly turn brand new coins into a small fortune well lest just say that within the past 1 month I have managed to earn a profit of almost $10,000 selling 2009 nickels and dimes. Selling 40 coin rolls for $250-300 keeps me quite busy on top of selling single coins.
This has been quite a blessing and figured I’d give you guys a heads up on why ive been so busy. Im just basically letting you guys know because I know many of you are wondering where Ive been.
I’m gonna be very busy trying to sell over 4,000 coins
I’m glad for your financial boone Manny. I remember you had a run of bad luck on some stock picks so it sounds like you’re going to do more than recover that with your new venture. I love when good things happen to good people
Mark youre not kidding, I lost over $15K last year with stocks so this has been quite the blessing. It just sucks that i have to make daily trips to the post office on top of work, family and a full college schedule but Im happy nonetheless.
