So I guess the series is over and it has finally become official. Since the story was not even close to being finished all I can kind of hope for at this point is some sort of conclusion and that the producers, writers, art people or someone else will tell what the rest of the story was going to be. Something even as simple as a post somewhere saying this is what we had planned for the stones, pumyra, introducing new characters and so forth. Since the shows won’t be produced I would at least like to know the ending. It would also be cool if bandai would show prototypes for cancelled figures as I’m sure they exist.
what evidence is there to say it is 100% cancelled?
100%? There isn’t. But all signs point to no. I don’t want to debate whether or not it is but all i’m saying is that if it is in fact done I would just like to know what they had planned. That’s all.
fair enough, I also would love to know what they would have done next, i feel though it would be truly EPIC and even better than what they had laid the foundations down for in Season 1
Not going to happen. Besides the obvious legal issues with it, I don’t think they got that far along before they found out the show was canned. Or for those of you in denial, put on hiatus.
It has nothing to do with denial, they never announched or said it was cancelled.
They had the main story outlined for two seasons. They said as much in interviews.
Really bummed that The New Thundercats is basically cancelled feels just like 2004 with He-Man a fantastic cartoon in it’s infantcy cut short with no real ending.
Not a happy bunny and again its the toy makers that let it down just this time it was Bandai.
And it even ended with a nice unexpected cliffhanger. Give it to some decent writers and we could have a nice continuation, but alas.
Part of me is still hoping there would be a direct to DVD 2nd season to wrap up the loose ends.
