Should there be a comic tied to the new series?

A lot of animated action shows have gotten a comic series tie in lately. Teen Titans had Teen Titans Go! There was The Batman Strikes for The Batman series, and now there’s even a comic series for Young Justice and Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

All of these are based on comics book superheroes, but most are also owned by DC, which is owned by WB which owns ThunderCats. I think it would be possible for DC to publish a tie in comic series if ThunderCats gets popular, though there hasn’t been any word on that yet.

What do you think? Would you like to see a tie in series? I think it would be cool and maybe even work as a way to get some of the more obscure characters from the classic show in.

It’s entirely possible. Especially since DC also owns Wildstorm which made the last batch of Thundercats comics.

I might be interested and agree that it’s a :thumbsup: idea.

It goes without saying that an imminent Thundrecats comic release is almost sure to surface at some point in the near future. On top of that a Video Game is very likely to be made as well as other merchandise related products, such as official clothing or school bags for children.

Now what i am mostly craving for and i think it would be a great idea doing credit to the history of the Show is a WB official Soundtrack with Bernard Hoffer’s original themes, actually i want that even more that a rerelease in Blue Ray of the 80s cartoon

Would be nice to be able to wear my Thundercats T-shirt without having my Nephew go, “What’s that?”

I wont be surprised if the TCats make it on the CN Action Pack alongside Ben 10 and Generator Rex.

But I’d prefer something more along the lines of the Wildstorm comics or graphic novels.

I also want to see the 80’s cartoon show up on CN’s sister channel Boomerrang.

No doubt they’ll make TCats comics to coincide with the new cartoon.

I hope they do! I would like to see maybe a prequel comic to begin with which explains the time from Thundera to Earth and what happened between Mumm-Ra and Claudus.

I hope the license is free and someone like IDW picks it up. They have done well with Transformers and GI Joe.
