I have a MOC series 2 Lion-O with the rounded neck. How much would that be worth today? I haven’t seen that much of them on ebay lately, or rather I don’t search ebay for Thundercats much nowdays since the prices are outrageous and I have all the figures loose (my goal). I know that the main figures and most of the third series are expensive as heck if you want them, but this variant, if it really is a variant I don’t know either, is it more sought after than the MOC orange or red Lion-O? Mine is on a Rainbow 22-back with the Thunder Warrior offer (not the free Mumm-Ra offer). Was it released on any other card like US, 14-back…?

I’m not sure on prices, but I certainly know which version your talking about. I believe my brother had a Lion-o like that and to be honest I find the neck/head on him quite ugly looking. Almost to the point that the head looks wrong on the Lion-o body. I’m guessing most people don’t really know about these variants so I doubt the Lion-o would raise much interest. I’d guess it would sell around the same as standard red haired Lion-o.
However that’s just a guess. If your not into MOC Thundercats anymore, stick it on Ebay and see what it fetches:)

I have a hard time letting things go of things, so I will hold on to it for the time being:) I would rate it a C9- all in all (the figure is mint w/o age spots).
I agree that it’s a bad version of Lion-O, like you said, it looks as if the head doesn’t belong to the body, but I’m just glad to be the owner of a MOC Lion-O. I actually got it at a reasonably price too, a long time ago when prices where still decent so that makes me wanna keep it even more. But back to the main question, if anyone has an idea and info.

The 22 back Lion O you are describing is not any rarer than the LJN counterpart. In fact it is probably slightly less desirable because a lot of collectors only stick to LJN and not Rainbow. I still think though that it would fetch almost as much as the LJN 14 back Lion O. You may get anywhere between $80-100 for it. While an LJN Lion O may fetch up to $120

Don’t get me wrong, if I owned it I’d also keep it. I guess it’s like some fine art paintings. Some people find some of them really ugly, but does it decrease their value? Nope.
I know who has my brothers old Lion-o figure, so I need to get it back so I can do the Lion-o variations page. Though I still need to also pick up a orange haired Lion-o as well for that page.
