This TV Guide issue came with every badge membership. Each attendee basically gets a huge WB bag and inside was this issue of TV Guide.

A couple of things that popped out:

[li]They refer to Lion-O as Prince, not Lord.[/li][li]This might just be an assumption based on the poster, but the words grittier and realistic stuck out to me. We knew it would be anime, but how gritty is gritty?[/li][li]Learn valuable lessons about loyalty, honor, and mortality. Death? Looks like morals might still be a major part of the series? If so, I’m totally down for it![/li][/ul]
I’m thinking the “mortality” part is mostly about Jaga, and probably Lion-O losing his homeworld…and perhaps his father?
This new series is getting more interesting by the minute.

Not much there that was not already known from the official press release. Only “new” info from it is “gritty”, “remake”, and “sword wielding buddies”. But this is coming from someone’s personal interpretation, not official WB info, correct?
As WB has not been clear, I will take the “remake” comment with a pinch of salt as we don’t know with 100% certainty that this is a remake vs a prequel or something along those lines.
Gritty? Interesting. Cartoon Network has The Clone Wars where characters die in virtually every episode by blaster hits, lightsaber attacks, poisoning, and other assassinations. So this could mean the Mutants get to kill and/or seriously injure people.
Sword wielding buddies? What in the name of Jaga is this about? Are we talking ThunderCats or Highlander?
I figured that ‘mortality’ was a misprint and it should have read ‘morality’.
