Interesting. At least they did what they set out to do and made MOTUC versions of the vintage MOTU toy line up of characters.
It will be interesting to see if the rumours of Snake Mountain being cancelled are true.

Not sure. I don’t collect or pay that that much attention to MOTUC. Just noticed someone saying it was cancelled on TNI.
no. the story goes as follows:
- Some guy emailed a sales rep asking when Snake mtn. was going to be released. The response was something like “Snake Mtn. has unfortunately not gone to production”.
- Several figure delays for the other subs.
- No communication between MattyCollector and customers
- No MOTUC offering at SDCC (first time they havn’t offered anything for this license since it started in 2008)
That guy and many others took this as it has been cancelled. I personally think it was just “Snake Mountain is not in our system, so therefore it doesn’t exist”. Basically the sales rep didn’t know any info about it. So what else are they supposed to say??
This has led to mass hysteria and people spouting out that Snake Mountain has been cancelled and that MOTU figures are done in general. The original guy who emailed Matty posted it to facebook, so you are correct, that’s were that started. HOWEVER, there has been NOTHING from Matty about anything. So can you say its cancelled? No. No one knows whats going on.

I hope it does get released as I know a lot of fans really wanted it. It looked amazing.

That looks to be a play set as expensive or more than the last Castle Grayskull but if Mattel did their numbers right, they sure know if it is feasible to produce it or not.
This was already addressed by Mattel that after making the last figures that they had planned to do, they would move on to another lines, like Filmation Motu and She-ra.
I think Mattel are delaying the TC’s reveal because there is an issue with it, and they are scared it won’t be ready for SDCC, so they are buying themselves time to see if it gets resolved in time.
Well they better hurry up as I’m getting a little bored looking on this forum with no updates each day.

I noticed that the last update on their FB page was on the 31st of May. I read somebody said the excuse might be that they’re busy with PowerCon. Perhaps. But don’t they know you can schedule posts on FB? The reveals could then have been pre-planned for all of them. Anyway, I doubt that there is an issue with having it ready in time. They wouldn’t have announced it if they didn’t think it would be ready. But who knows. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

I call BS. First they said they were going to post the exclusives, then they didn’t and a few days later posted some crap line about “our wheels are turning…”. then they said they would reveal one exclusive everyday and on day 1, 10 were revealed through a news outlet and only 1 through matty. Now for the last 2 days there havnt been any reveals or words from Matty. Same ol’ shit. different day.
Not to mention the 10 they revealed were very underwhelming.
mattel really need to interact more . this is a joke now .

I recall during the subscription drives reading that the brand manager was on vacation that week so they couldn’t up date the tall to see if the sub goal had been met.
individually speaking, yes its just a toy…but having dealt personally with Matty Collector for the past 5 years you would understand the hostility. Please, go over to he-man.org and tell all those guys to “Calm down and have patience…” LOL. prepare to get another ripped a new one. And yes, I’m an adult, therefore I can act and do as I want. thank you. I will continue my hostility.
