I believe those figures were to bridge the gap between both shows. I think Filmation were also in talks to make the New Adventures cartoon. So the figure style etc wouldn’t have changed.

So getting back on topic at hand. What do we think about the TCats selling out during the presell? I think if anyone is of real concern - look at it like this, Mattel is selling these for $60, if they do make it to the site figure in the astronomical shipping that Digital River is going to charge (probably close to the $20 mark if not a bit more), so if u get the chance to score one for $80-$90 id say go for it.
That may be true. From what I am seeing others are beginning to think there will not be any available after the con. Scampers seem to be buying them up.
Just looking on eBay now and the kittens are going for between $120-$160 plus $30-$80 shipping (Aus).
Matty or BBTS are gonna be my only hope. If I’ve not gotten the kittens by the next sub drive there’s no way I’m resubbing.
There will still be figures after SDCC, remember the ones that sold out now is the exclusive for SDCC, the one on sale after the Con will be the regular version. So it’s actually not the same figures.
Way too much anxiety. I just bought a pre-sale for around $90 from ebay. I really want the hover boards. I hope Matty doesn’t do something random and pack in snarf for the sale after the Con.
Lastly, I’ve emailed BBTS. A representative stated:
"Thank you for contacting us and I will be happy to help. In regards to the SDCC listings or convention products in general, we will publish any available items on our website as soon as possible or when they are offered to us. Unfortunately, there is not a specified list of items, or time that items are published as we are constantly putting up new merchandise throughout the day on a regular basis.

I have seen prices drop a little for eBay. now you can get them for about $110 shipped.

Lucky you Serval - finding a $90 set! Not sure whether you’re from the US ninja cat, because shipping to South Africa is madness! Don’t understand why folks load the shipping - why can BBTS do it for $20 and ebay can’t?
I also received the exact same e-mail from them 2 weeks ago. Really nice of them, but still, no help. Here’s holding thumbs we can find them on the Matty site after the con.

There has been absolutely nothing said about a different version of the figures available after the con on their website so i’m not sure where you’re pulling that information from. The MOTU Rotar and Twistoid/Rokkon and Stonedar sets were only released at the con/after sale and the ones on the site were no different to the ones offered at the con.
Theres always a chance that BBTS takes a hit on shipping but justifies it with the mark up they have on the figure.

For MOTUC the versions were different … example Orko and Prince Adam two pack, SDCC one had a translucent Orko and the one sold afterwards didn’t … then there was He-Ro one with the SDCC logo, one without … etc..
Can’t see how ThunderCats will be any different, why have an SDCC exclusive then ??

I really wouldn’t mind paying that, but would need to have it shipped to somebody in the US to ship it on to me since ebay has exorbitant prices for postage. Problem with that is that paypal lets you ship to your registered address and sadly I don’t have a US address 
Unless that good Samaritan we spoke about earlier shows up and has then shipped to him / her and then forward it on to me! Of course, with a little extra to say thank you. That looks like the way it’s going to be for me in the long run.
Good point! They could also have a great arrangement with their shipping company and get it at ridiculous prices and still add a mark up on the postage! Who knows?
He-Ro was in 2009 and Adam/Orko was in 2010. They have not done different versions in 6 years.
I wouldnt mind doing it…but shipping down under is going to cost a small fortune, and possibly a kidney. o_O

Wrong! … Hordak in 2014 came with a Chest Imp for SDCC and without afterwards!

That was a completely separate accessory. it was poly bagged and separate from the actual carded figure. I don’t think that applies. that would be like saying the hoverboards came separate from the twins.
