Do you ever wish that Scooby-Doo and his pals of Mystery, Inc. met up with the ThunderCats? I’ve heard of DC Comics’ Scooby-Doo Team-Up series, which seems to have Mystery, Inc. crossing over with multiple Time Warner characters, and it got me thinking – what if the heroes and villains of ThunderCats (the 1985 universe) were part of an arc for SDTU? I love Scooby Doo but a Scooby Doo / Thundercats crossover is a terrible idea.

And I thought the Scooby Doo/WWE movies sounded awful. Scooby Doo would only work with other Hana Barbera properties, and even that is stretching it.

Even though Scooby-Doo and ThunderCats are different, Warner Bros. owns the rights to both franchises, as well as the post-1974 Rankin/Bass library and most of the Hanna-Barbera library.
I know this. I just meant that a crossover wouldn’t make sense between Scooby Doo and most any other property.

No. A crossover works because of similar themes, characters and animation etc. Scooby Doo on Third Earth with the Thundercats would not work. The only way a Thundercats/Scooby Doo crossover could be done right would be to not do it at all LOL.
