I was sat looking at my figures before and noticed how small the Mumm-Ra Mummy figure was. My friends also thought it was… so I had a look at my DVD’s to compare his size with other characters.
First thing that got me was the scale of Ma-Mutt in comparison to him… as we freqently see Mumm-Ra Mummy pick him up. Then I did a little compare of other figures… take a look

There are a few other scale issues as well concerning S-s-slyte who is slightly too small…The berbils who are also too small.. and there are a few others.
Do you think these were intended for some reason or are just inaccurate??
I think Mumm-Ra might look smaller because he’s hunched over a bit, I quite like the mummy figure, but wish we could have gotten a better version, more like the one in those screen shots 
Possibly… but if you look at my diagram… mumm-ra is the same height as hammerhand. Even with his head raised… this figure wouldn’t be the correct scale..
Blimey your right, Hammerhand must be huge!

Also take into account this was a free mail-away figure and not a regular stand alone figure bought in stores.
Most of the figures in the toyline are not cartoon accurate, such as Jackalman and Ram Bam for instance. Both are too chunky looking. Jackalman was scrawny and Ram Bam was slightly more slender on the cartoon.
Unfortunately with mose toylines, the figures are inacurate to the cartoon. It’s not just Thundercats, but most toylines.
Sure I understand most are not cartoon accurate.. it just seemed to me that Mumm-Ra was dramatically too small in context with the rest.
I wasn’t trying to critisize the LJN line as I love it.. I was just wondering if people had noticed which figures were in scale and which were not.. I had not heard anyone mention it before

I know you were not critisizing the toyline Apologies if my post came across a bit harsh. However it is true that there are a lot of figures that needed tweaking here and there (some more than others like Ram Bam, Cruncher and Top Spinner for sure)
I just meant using the Mummy Mumm-Ra might have been a bad example being as it was a free figure, so would have had much less effort put into producing it than the figures you had to actually pay for.
I agree with that.. do you think it might have had something to do with having to fit it into the rotating Mumm-Ra’s Tomb Playset as well..
Also here is another question.. which do you think was the most accurate figure?

The inside is quite big and is designed to use the regular Mumm-Ra figure as well so I’m not sure on that.

My first thoughts were Lynx-o and Pumyra. They look the part and are probably roughly accurate with their sizes etc…
Another figure that has bother me due to scale since the beginning was Panthro. My favorite Thundercat has the worst sculpt of the T-cats.
He is way too small and too fat.
