Ok so let get off that wrong thing and talk about Lion-o and his queen Pumyra.
I would say she’s not his queen, but a female cat that has been through puberty is technically called a queen.
When they get married she’ll be his queen.
True, but I don’t think we’ll see that for awhile.
Not sure that is a done dizzle, either. I love Pumyra, but queen material? She’s a bit rough around the edges…maybe a few night classes at the Disney Academy of Princess-ing would help.

Haha yeah. I think she’d be a powerful queen, just nothing like Lion-O’s mother. Assuming Panthera survived the crash, it wouldn’t be the first time the ThunderCats have had a strong-willed queen. I also think that this was some form of foreshadowing showing how similar Pumyra and Panthera are in many traits.
To be honest I really hated the direction they took with Lion Os mother..she was just so not like Claudius that it was distracting. She was way to delicate and frail for my taste. But I guess she had to be otherwise the death by childbirth moment wouldn’t have made sense.
I was expecting her to have more of a stronger presence like her husband Claudius.. a tough mama if you will, who you can actually see having a strong opinion of her own. I mean you can’t really see this queen having an argument with Claudius.
Pumyra on the other hand lol..Stands by her beliefs, and if Lion O disagrees well…BAM!!TO THE MOON LION O!! TO THE MOON!! LOL
Actually I think she is growing up as well and learning to harness that anger with understanding. So after she mends that issue, I think Pumyra definitely has the makings of a great queen..a queen that can co-rule and/or rule Thundera on her own. She is slowly becoming Lion O’s equal..and that makes sense to me.
I could totally see her having an argument with Claudus. Just because she’s nice to children doesn’t make her weak.
Me too. She obviously had to have some sort of strength to be married to that mammoth!
I think the death by childbearth adds a dramatic tone and puts extra burden on Lion-O’s shoulders, he must have felt guilty for that as well.Besides, in ep.‘Between Brothers’ Tygra tells Lion-O before he kicks him down the pit for the second time, ‘…You took her’ which i strongly belive is a referece to their mother, instead of Cheetara, who loved her very much.
I can’t say if Pumyra will be a good queen because it’s still very early and a far fetched dream.Lion-O doesn’t even have rebuilded his Kingdom, freed the scattered Thunderians or beat Mamm-ra. I can’t see so far in the Future. For the most part they will all be members of the Thundercats team. We should examine this theory in the next 26 eps, provided they come out, judging the state he is then.
I think they’ll hook up before the season ends, but as for her being his “queen”, I highly doubt we’ll see that until very late in the next season.
Afterwards Panthro is the only one left since the kittens are still yery young, Madora will come out of the blue to hook up with Panthro and we are going to have 3 couples fighting the evil Mamm-ra…
I think Tygra and Cheetara is enough love affair for Tundercats. This affair helped to progress thestory and flair up the brothers rivalry, so that was ok.But an upcoming love affair with Lion-o and Pumyra will be pointless and kind of boring.
I think Lion-O and Pumyra’s relationship will be more interesting than Tygra and Cheetara’s. And Panthro’s not alone! He has the tank!

And that might not be a good thing for Lion-O. Have you heard Chris Rock on married life? ALL good relationships are boring. The bad ones are where all the excitement is. I won’t post the link (not family friendly), but the message gives you pause 
“Good relationships are boring” is often a sign that the person saying that has never really been in one. Usually they’re just as (if not more) exciting as the bad ones.
Possibly true in the case of this comic. But the stand up piece was pretty funny.

Agreed. Each couple is still its own world and what you felt the first day is not what you feel 10 years down the road, but there’s nothing to spice your life like joining in the adventure of filling up the fridge, paying the bills, clearing the dinner table or wrestling over whose turn it is to take the kids to soccer practice. Never a dull moment.
