I just wanted to sound you guys out about something, and also give you a heads-up - as you will possibly have noticed, one of our forum members named rocco has posted up a lot of threads where he seems to be obsessed with basically three characters and a couple of scenarios - Tygra, Lynxana (from the comics) and Safari Joe. There was recently a minor incident between rocco and another of our forum members, Lindacat, where Neil had to intervene:
Now, since then, rocco has posted more on his favourite Safari Joe topic, but has left the Lynxana topic alone. However, earlier today I received a PM from him, titled “whats up”, and with this message:
Now, I’m a slightly paranoid person so I wouldn’t act based on anything I say, but the only thing that gives me mild cause for concern is what Lindacat stated in that thread re: the possibility that this guy has some sort of problem with Queen Lynxana from EOT.net which could carry over to here…
In reality, I have a strong suspicion by his style of post that rocco is either very young, or (more likely) suffers from autism (my own vice) or some form of learning disability. As such, he possibly needs handling carefully, but obviously needs keeping an eye on. Anyways, none of this is a big deal, but I just thought I ought to give you guys a heads-up!
Chris i honestly dont see any connection to what your saying, that he has a problem with lynxana the member. I think hes right tygra would beat her, there was no reason for lindacat to call him out like that in the forums, things like that are done via pm or not at all because what does it matter to her (lindacat) its none of her business.
Please Chris explain this more. I just woke up from about 3 hours sleep to go to work now, and that might have to do with why it doesnt make sense to me
Or maybe he is just an overly obsessed fan. In any case the minute i read his posts he came across rather…shall i say unpleasant. Caps is widely known to people to express shouting. Piece two and two together between the way he comes across and the caps issue and you got a recipe for a troublesome member. Just my opinion FWIW
rocco’s a troll. He trolled EOT first with the exact same threads, and yeah he and Queenie had words over his trolling and blantant anti lynxana-the-character posts. Then he just started to do that to egg her on. I think he may have even gotten his butt banned from EOT for his antics.
He’s not only here posting the exact same crap now, but he started up on my board as well. Copy/paste variety, and he’s not interested in anyone’s honest opinions either. Trust me. He’s just baiting people so he can bash certain characters and get fans’ goats that like said characters.
Garden variety illiterate troll. That’s my not-so-humble opinion. Keep an eye on him indeed.

The minute he steps out of line again, I’m sure MannyC will ban him. My advice to Queen Lynxana would be to just ignore him. His type soon get bored once they lose the attention of folks.

Yeah, I’ve been trying to ignore him on my board and it’s true - if he doesn’t get the reactions he’s craving, he will eventually go away. Queenie and the others that have encountered him should know this too, so I hope they clue in and just ignore him too.
well I guess i missed something. I understand the point about the caps but i didnt think he was yelling maybe had forgot caps was on, or whatever. But if angie says hes an ass and has dealt with him before then i guess we should watch him

Hello, Manny. Has this Rocco character been PM-ing other people at this site about his Tygra versus Lynxana obsession? I just deleted two PMs from him, all written in caps and annoying as all hell. I’d like to know what to do in case he keeps pestering me about it because frankly it’s scaring me a little.:mad:

He was given a warning when Neil posted about him shouting on the boards and to top it off he PM’s Chris and other members? If there are members that are worried there is no warning in my book, its a straight up ban
I support MannyC’s decision entirely here. I think he was booted before he would have caused major offence to one of the regulars. Guys like him are a dime a dozen. Members who engage in interesting threads and show respect are the reason why I’m here and those are the important folks to me.
