Rob Zombie’s Halloween is coming out on theaters this Friday 31st August. I am lucky enough to be able to watch Halloween tonight. I’ll be giving an update tonight when I watch it however the spoilers will be based on the movie before some changes were meade and not Friday’s release. I believe is not the finalized movie since some scenes were added as well as cut and there is a slightly different ending.

The movie begins by Michael being bullied and with a very much broken home. Not your typical home but lots of arguing and a very disfunctional family. His mom is a stripper and his sister is well not much better. His step-father is very verbally abusive. Michael kills a rat with a small knife. Just before Halloween the body count is already at 1 person…the bully, and on Halloween he kills his sister, the boyfriend and stepfather. Sister by stabbing,boyfriend with hits with a bat on the head and stepfather with a sliced neck. The classic mask appears twice and is worn by his sisters boyfriend. Michael is taken away and he doesnt recall one minute of the events that happened on Halloween.
Michael returns to his old house to get the mask and the knife he used on his family which were both kept under the house’s wooden floor.
Overall Michael is more human in this movie, often times showing emotion. Michael is very much in an enraged mood throughout the whole movie. You cant beat the original but as a remake it gives us those missing pieces that were never explained in the original movie. There was one spot in the movie when Dr. Loomis answers his cell phone with the news that Michael escaped however I dont think there were any cell phones in the 70’s so that was a spoof on their part, Rob Zombie gave us something fresh and a new take on Michael, overall I’m very pleased with it and will be at the movies on opening night
