The lunatacs were some very well designed characters. It’s a shame they were never produced, especially Red Eye, I though he was a cool character to have in toy form, Amuk and Luna would have been awesome too!
This is an amazing piece. It’s amazing that 24 years after the final toy series was released these items are finally seeing the light of day again. I suggest everyone take a good look, because my guess is, once these leave the possession of HH, they will be locked back up in private collections. This is not a bad thing, per say, its just the way high end collectables work.
I am curious what medium these items will be sold? Will any end up on eBay? Or will it be as discussed earlier, write in/ phone in offers and the highest offer “wins”?

Lots of folks have been very supportive of the upcoming auction series; Wayne, Wayne UK, Manny, Will and others.
I am still going through the items and posting them on our site, and then will discuss a strategy with the clients about selling the items. I apologize for the delay. The simple fact is, they keep finding more stuff ! Two weeks ago, my client called me from his office saying they pulled down a box from their closet… and it was filled with vintage Thundercats hardcopies. He sent me a photo of Jackleman… and I am awaiting others. So… this delay is sort of a good thing.
With regards to the medium… I am leaning towards separate auctions involving about 20-30 lots over the course of two or three months. This will allow people to save money for the items they want, while not having to worry about 100+ items coming to market all at once.
Currently, the plan is to have a phone or E-mail bid auction on our website. We will give everyone one week to submit bids. Bid totals will be updated each night on our site.. so everyone can see how high or low some of the items are going.
Some forum members have suggested Ebay, which is also being considered… albeit not seriously. The current Ebay fee structure is so high that it makes profit difficult. In addition, Ebay is not taking a bite out of final shipping costs as well. Currently, HH clients are not willing to absorb any listing fees… so it’s all on us.
While I do agree that the Ebay route may bring in a healthy competition and auction environment, the cost right now is prohibitive… but this may change in time.

or lair art (similar to the feliner and thunderstrike art)
So how often is Hollywood Heroes updated their page with new items? I keep having to remind myself to check the site but every time I do its the same stuff.
First round of auctions is slated for end of June. The, we’re going to have one a month for the next three months.
The majority of the sale is artwork and concept drawings. We plan on inserting some models and figure prototypes into the auctions to round out the mix.
Awesome find! Truly incredible to see this stuff surface after all these years. It’s amazing it has survived in such good condition. I can’t wait to see all the stuff available!
