An extraordinary image to see!
For those that follow us on facebook, you may know that our page had about 22,500 followers as of last week. We post almost daily with a ThunderCats related image that could be fan art, updates on toys and statues in development, customs, creative T-Cat pics, comics etc.
This week when I posted the image of the Cats Lair comparison to Sigiriya in Sri Lanka I thought it was a cool image that would probably do quite well on social media. An average post usually reaches about 8,000 fans and gets around 350 likes and about 75 shares.
This image proved to be the most popular post we’ve ever done by a huge margin. It was a big surprise. As of right now it has reached over 4.9 million facebook users. The image or a part of the post has been clicked 1.8 million times. We have 9,000 new followers on facebook thanks to the attention around this post. There are over 190,00 likes and over 2,100 shares.
One of the shares was the official WB facebook page for ThunderCats which is a big reason for why this post blew up so much. It was helped along by the patriotic Sri Lankans who are very proud of this Unesco Heritage site in their country.
We’re expecting to be able to continue to work with our friend at WB who manages the facebook account to highlight more awesome ThunderCats posts in the future and to continue to bring fans into the ThunderCats.org fold.
I recommend following the facebook page for anyone who isnt already. Mark has done a fabulous job with it and I always look forward to the new content!!

That’s awesome Mark, great job. I am glad the official page shared the post resulting in the huge spike of new members. It’s something I been hoping that they would do more often. This is a good start.
