Thundercats had 2.4 million viewers. I’m not sure if thats good or bad as I’ve never paid attention to ratings before, but I know a lot of people were waiting for the numbers to be released. Hopefully someone else on here will be able to provide some intelligent commentary.
That’s a very good debut rating for the new “ThunderCats” cartoon series! Hopefully it can only get better with time. 
2.4 is very good! Considering how strong the pilot was, I’m sure it’ll only get bigger as people tell their friends and co-workers about it. I’m already getting evangelical and recommending it to everyone I know.
I can even see this being what they call “appointment TV” for a lot of people; just something they can’t miss. CN’s got a megahit series they can be proud of. So any fears about them cancelling this one I think will be completely unfounded.
According to ToonZone forums…it did not beat the ratings set by the premieres of “Young Justice” last year or this years “The Looney Tunes Show”. The ratings are not bad, but I’m kinda disappointed. I was hoping it’d set a record. It’s about time we showed CN what we really want to see. Good, quality action shows
And more people tuned in to watch re-runs of Victorious and Phineas & Ferb.

I remember people used to say DragonBall Z had stellar ratings back in the days of Toonami. Maybe had this dumb channel stayed consistent with it’s programing blocks and didn’t cancel them so often more people would bother to tune in.
I think it did really well with 2.4. Agreed it’s ashame it can’t claim totally record premiere ratings but I think those are quite good for Summer Friday premiere ratings and this was an excellent premiere (one of the best in a while IMO) and it looks like the makings of a fantastic show, let’s just hope it keeps growing so that they’ll have to keep making/ordering more eps, this deserves a long run so they can really dig into this awesome setup and setting they’ve created.
I would like if it can at least hit ATLA’s excellence with a bit of the main theme. Sadly I guess I’m not surprised that we’ll have to make do with a hopefully cool but short intro, in order for the eps themselves not to be ultra short (and something as story-driven as this needs all the time it can get :)) it seems there’s really no time for full minute intros anymore with all of the stupid commercials. Even Transformers Prime’s, which visually looks really cool, is like 20 seconds.
How can they know how many people tune in?
Does it benefit ratings at all if you watch Thundercats via the “On Demand” feature on FIOS for example?
Where exactly do you see that at? From what I see on that list Thundercats was #2 on it’s time slot. It only got beat by stupid Wrestling. o.O
I do kinda fear for the ratings next week though. Disney has that Phenias and Ferb movie debuting. Though my eyes will be on Thundercats. You know the P&F movie will be aired like 5 times within next week. lol

Phineas and Ferb is awesome. I won’t watch it over Thundercats, plus disney will reair that movie a million times over the weekend I’m sure.
I actually like Phenias and Ferb. But yeah, I guarantee it’ll re-air saturday night. or even possibly directly after it goes off the first time.

I guess the animation turns me off before I would actually stop and watch it. I don’t really watch anime, but the animation of it will occassionally get me to stop and tune in, and then when I get bored with the subject material, I’ll move on.
Last Friday there was something on before ThunderCats. When I tuned in to start the recording, I saw some big dragon talking to people or something. If I had had the time, I would have stayed and watched it because the animation fascinated me.
Someone recently told me that they really liked Kim Possible. I never watched it because again, the animation didn’t appeal to me.
Does anyone have an answer to my previous question?

That’s an excellent start in my opinion. I’ve been trying to spread the word as much as I can about it, on my facebook page and other forums. Hopefully figures would only improve.

Kim Possible was quite good IMO. and Will Friedle did a voice on there too.
The Dragon thing was a TV movie called Firebreather. It’s directed by the dude that did the Aeon Flux cartoon and based on a comicbook. It was decent.
