And I think seeing as the city was just about lizard free that those armors were already theres. Probably just took them from their rooms or something. No real need to show that.
Oh, and anyone else notice that the Lantern Jaga was sucked in looks like Ma-Mutt?

I gotta say tho, they were incredibly stupid falling for that bait. You suddenly see a pile of food in the middle of nowhere and you’re not the least bit suspicious? lol
Am I the only one disappointed by the outside of the pyramid? It looks less intimidating than the original… Maybe it’ll get all dark badass when Mumm-Ra transforms?
Maybe he saw the Japanese Version? gets shot But really..I’m holding out for Japan to get an awesome intro..
Also, I really liked the funeral at the beginning. Wasn’t expecting it. We now know a little bit more of the Thunderian religion as they spoke of reincarnation.
That, the kids and the ending where what really made this episode for me.
Though maybe it’s not reincarnation, but something more along the lines of Egyptian Religion? If it where so..lol the irony.

Solid entry. Not as good as last week’s intro, but thoroughly entertaining.
The Intro was kind of lame, but to be fair, the producers prepared us for that. Stupid ad times! I can’t imagine kids today going back to watch stuff from the 80s and seeing how long & exciting the intros were.
It was nice to see the Thunderkittens win their way into the group.
Last week I said “Man, Tygra’s a jerk” but this week its like “Lion-O is F’n Crazy!”. Some of it plays off of early Lion-O in the old series (When he demanded to be set free because he was Lord of the Thundercats, that was totally out of the old show") but then they amp’d it up to the 1000th degree. Revenge really can blacken the soul, huh? But in the end, Lion-O’s compassion won out.
I was actually ready to bash the episode because last week, Lion-O was so compassionate and now he’s just totally insane, but then I thought about it. Being Compassionate towards the Lizards led to the downfall of his kingdom, being passive presented him from saving his father, & now he has the responsibility of leadership thrust upon him. He’s been through alot and in this episode, he probably thought that he was being the King his father wanted him to be. He’s initially mistrusting of the Kit & Kat and goes all out to take down Mumm-Ra, but in the end, its at the expense of his team, which he can’t do.
Last week I caught references to all kinds of things like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, & even The Little Mermaid. Here, Captain Tunar (Sp?) was totally supposed to be Captain Ahab. They made no secret that they were working in Moby Dick to this episode, but i have to see that some of the seafaring sequences were pretty intense and the Ramlak was pretty cool.
Tygra getting seasick (sandsick? oh forget it, I’ll call it motion sickness) was funny, lol. Nothing else to say besides that.
My favorite part of the whole episode was actually the end where Mumm-Ra tortured Jaga (not dead!..I think) and is now going to use his essence to locate the Book of Omens. A really creepy and intense scene. I liked it!
So overall, a solid entry, and I’m still intrigued by what lies ahead the show.

I wonder if they do get on the real ocean if Cheetra will be the one over the side? Clerics, magic users, salt water and all that jazz. 
I’m hoping the next episode focus on Tygra and how’s he’s coping. Lion-O’s been a self evolved jerk. He’s not the only one that just lost his father.
Yeah Tygra’s armor confuses me. I guess it could’ve already been his…but if it was why didn’t he wear it in the battle in the pilot?
And I thought I remembered them saying him getting his armor was going to be part of the story.
Is this going to air in Japan? I didn’t realize that…

If you’d be kind enough to share the source for the quote, I can bug Dan Norton once more and ask him if he knows of any extended versions of the intro that may pop up at some point?

Yup, also explains how their new clothes have the symbol as a few had guessed. A bit surprised there wasn’t a quick scene with Lion-O and Tygra grabbing their armor but I doubt it’d be too hard to sneak around as they still know the area far better and the lower lizards are just looting the city now so no big deal that they didn’t spend time on it (didn’t the premiere did say something about Tygra’s warrior enrollment/training in one of the throne room scenes or something? So maybe he got the armor from that though it doesn’t totally explain why he wasn’t wearing during the invasion where you’d think he would.). Glad they properly explained the kitten’s one though (edit: beaten).
balgus82: Yeah, food in the middle of a desert sea is a big giveaway though if it weren’t for the preview I would have been expecting either a trap or a humorous mirage with how worn-out everyone was. XD
I think he’d have a bigger death scene after his stand last time so I think Jaga’s still alive in there since I’d imagine he’d have to be alive for the magic to force him to “talk”, that scene was damn creepy especially with the last tortured shriek and the homing light.
Given the way the book was talked about in the premiere and how as Grune said they sent out Panthro and Grune for it I wonder if Jaga knows the actual location or just the location of a clue to it’s whereabouts?

They might get in to it the story behind it later. It might have been a gift from Claudis or something and it was the one thing Tygra made sure he grabbed.
Guess we don’t get an intro after all…much sadness.

Good point, the story to the armor could be it’s backstory and a Tygra flashback rather than just him grabbing it off a rack or from the wreckage of his room/weapons room.
I’m hoping that as well. These shows usually center in the main character’s emotions, and seem to forget others have suffered the same or more and just neglect their emotions.
