I posted this here because Jim Mooney illustrated several of the Marvel Thundercats comics. To me, he and inker Brett Breeding, were the best team the book had.
Mooney also illustrated Batman & Robin, Tommy Tomorrow, and had a legendary run on Supergirl.

That’s very sad news - a couple of years ago I tried to line up an interview with Jim for this site, but my line of communication fell through. Jim’s artwork on ThunderCats is very special to me, having grown up with the UK reprints of the Marvel/Star comics - he will be greatly missed.

When did this gentleman die? I don’t recall seeing it in the obituary section of my local newspaper.
I don’t know the exact date. I found the announcement in the issue of Supergirl that came out this past Wedenesday.
